It is true dude. There's a new worm out there on the Net that was updated today April 1, 2009. Sh-- is so bad for so many people right now. So I've heard less than 2% of U.S. computers have been infected, but it's been totaled that over 8 Million people have been affected. You can read about on multiple security websites and see YouTube Videos warning people to be weary of this crap that will F--- your computer the F--- up.

The worm that was updated today is called the Conficker C Worm.

It takes your information and deposits onto the Hacker's computer sucking MILLIONS OF BANK ACCOUNT PASSWORDS etc.... To be sold away!

After it does that it controls your computer and turns it into a SPAM BOT. THE COMPUTER ITSELF LAUNCHES SPAM TO ALL OF YOUR CONTACTS STORED ONTO YOUR COMPUTER, ALSO SPAMMING FROM LOG IN SITES SUCH AS MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, AND MANY MORE POPULAR WEBSITES.

Guys and girls I'm not telling you this to scare you but quit thinking everything is an effing game. Some things in life just aren't amusing whether or not it's happened to you. Some guy can control the Government because he's more of an effing wizard than the 10,000 employees hired to hack and keep them safe. (BEING EXTRA DRAMATIC HERE BUT YOU NEVER EFFING KNOW.)

Now to be hypothetical, the Government could be playing one evil a-- trick on the world but I SOOOOOOOOOOO HIGHLY DOUBT IT. TAKE PRECAUTION, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

How exactly does your computer become affected? Do you open an email or visit a website? Or is it just random?

 

Sorry, you fail. It's his auto updater that he lost, since RSBot is open-source there is no need to reprogram, sience the source is on the internet, and I bed Speljohan has it too.

 

Worms are one type of a virus, actually you can get viruses now days by only opening a website or by mail if you don't have an up to date anitivirus running. You can also, of course get viruses by downloading suspicious files.

 

The hacker is dead. His virus is still alive tho >.>

also its hacked into 16 schools 4 govement computers some bank in germany and many home computers theres like a 135k reward for finding the person also i belive the virus was embedded in too a windows service pack and if you didnt have antivirus it would affect you like my friend got hacked.

i find it uttly sick and disgusting the fact that people can do these kind of things also micosoft is gonna suffer a big hole as more and more of its customers move too free operateing systems like linux and stuff

 

Conflicker (Not Conflicter) has infected many systems, but has not taken much action yet. It has not hacked into 16 schools, 4 government computers or a bank in Germany for two reasons:

1. Viruses don't hack. Conflicker is a botnet binded to a worm. It will download or await instructions, until then, it won't do anything. After receiving instructions some how, it can infiltrate servers, crash sites, phish large amounts of people, etc.

2. I doubt Russian hackers are out to get RSBot because they are firm believers in following the Runescape rules.

Also, if someone is smart enough to create a new botting program and network for Runescape, I'm pretty sure they know how to run a virus scan and remove it.

It really bothers me that people who make $1K a month off donations do not backup their files onto something as simple as a flash drive!
