Supposedly it was supposed to be for a bot farm.

Amount scammed: $600
How they scammed: They took my money, rendered no files or software of any kind, and blocked me on Discord today.

He blocked me on discord today after months of communication and only a few days after I transferred bitcoin to him via CoinBase to what I assume is a personal email.

I have discord chatlogs and have reached out to him on here via PM to see if he really thinks I'm going to let him get away with scamming me.

I'd like someone who has worked with [redacted] in the past to assist me with this.

I'm on mobile now but will upload chat logs asap as well as BTC transfers as well as [redacted] confirmation of receipt of payment.

Sorry for your loss, it seems you were impostor scammed. Please go through the following to better protect yourself:

1.) ALWAYS request a sythe PM before every trade to make sure you're talking to the correct person. A correct PM should look like this: https://i.imgur.com/hhosthY.png
2.) Discord Impostors almost always have nitro, which allows them to change their Discord Discrims (#) to copy legitimate users.
3.) Discord names and # can be copied but Discord UIDs can't be! Please always double check this. Go into Discord settings > turn developer mode ON, right click and copy ID. Explained here: [Important] Confirm who you are speaking with on Discord!

 

That's an expensive mistake.

I didn't know that imposters could take the same discord name, to a T.
