Rs3/osrs gold value

Hey there,

I am wondering what you guys think of the price drops of rs3 and osrs gp's.

How long will it continue to drop? Why does it drop? Will gold be worth anything at all in a year from now?

 

It drops because there is less deman. I think that it will rise in the next couple of weeks cause summer vacation is starting. Idk if gold price will be same from a year since its been dropping since last year

 

With due respect to the above post, there is more to demand-side economics than mere black and white supply demand theory.

Various aspects goes into why something falls, in this case, exponentially, toward a downward trend.

Some factors could be, but are not limited to;
- Advancement of RS3
- People quitting over time
- inflation.

I could go on, but all relevant factors have to be looked at individually with great scrutiny to figure out the answer to this question.

Summer vacation is already in gear. Can't depend on summer anymore.

 

Supply > Demand, therefore the price is dropping.

If you look at the original runescape, the prices weren't always what they are right now. Obviously as the game gets older, more and more gold is added to the game and over time the price of gold gets lower and lower.

 

Price most likely are going to stable again over the months.

 

ATM, Rs3 swaps at a higher ratio to 07 than 07 does to rs3. Don't believe it's been confirmed, but it's rumoured that this is due to a dupe on 07, might be the reason why gold prices are falling as well.

 

Rs07 gold price crashed hard because there was a dupe that some people managed to abuse.

It is all about supply and demand, it is quite hard to predict price changes as so many different things affect to price. (updates, vacations, dupes etc.)

 

If gold continues to drop, reasonable price is 1$ for selling, 0,6$ for buying. Thats the lowest price it could go, imo.

It always drops on both gradually because less people are playing.

 

There was a few duplication glitches/invincibility glitches which led to massive gold farming and dumping. Price of gp went to shit and now, hopefully, it will be back on the rise.

 

The glitches/dupes should hopefully be patched now so hopefully people start buying gold for more soon and the value will raise a bit.
