RS3 IRON MAN turned into a REGULAR account - Gracious's progress log

Hello and welcome to my ironman progress thread. Here I will be updating my current progress, hopefully somewhat often.
All of my progress is hand-done and only for fun, I haven't played RS since late 2013 so if you've got any tips for me, or seeing that I'm doing something wrong, let me know.

Today I made a major decision, I decided to rush a 90 skill that's needed for POP as it would give me a nice head start by the time I get the def level to wear the armour, it's going to be RC.

Back at it again with another update.

Spoiler: 6/23/2016 - turning the ironman into a regular account

It's been a while since I last updated my thread, I've made my decision and will be playing RS3 on a regular account, I've always enjoyed trading / being able to purchase GP etc a lot more than restricting yourself plus I'm not a fan of the grind.

Here is a picture of my final stats before switching over to a regular account, I'd like to think that I did a decent job whilst being an ironman, hopefully this will motivate me to play the game again instead of being AFK all the time.

 

Good luck with this Gracious, I don't have any tips as I don't play RS3, but I would look up some guides if I were you as it's way different than OSRS.

 

No way I could do an ironman on rs3.

Day 3 added, I'll continue questing tomorrow, I got some fishing levels out of the way so most of my early food is sorted.

I tried doing the nexus but it was really slow exp since you're supposed to have multiple people doing it at the same time but it seems dead atm.

Tips are appreciated

 

You should get 99 agility out of the way first, it's really handy!

The only tip I can say is to rush Prif.

 

Updated the thread, 90 runecrafting achieved! (Finally)

 

Nicely done. Why did you decide to level up your runecrafting to 90, and what were the xp rates like? Coming from an OSRS background, it seems crazy to be able to get that far in only three weeks.

 

Alright so the reason why I wanted 90 RC as fast as possible, is because of Player-owned ports (Link here) The PoP armory/weaponary is actually REALLY good and one of the best armours on an ironman. Getting to the point from where you start your PoP (which requires attleast 90 in either Agility, Construction, Cooking, Divination, Runecrafting, Fishing, Prayer, Herblore, Hunter, Dungeoneering, Slayer or Thieving to even START) to the point where you can actually start crafting (you still need resources) could take up to 6-9 months.

For RC, I did it through Runespan (Link here) It's basically a fairly AFK way to train RC, even though the XP rates are nothing crazy (maybe 30-50k/hr depending on how AFK I was - I continued lobbying throughout my training since it's really busy sometime during work)

Appreciate the detailed response. What sort of supplies and stats do you still need before you would be able to craft armor from your PoP?

 

90 RC for the Magic armour, 90 Smithing for the Melee armour and 90 Crafting for the Ranged armour, I'm not sure on the weapons since I stopped playing before they came out few years ago. As for the supplies, you collect them throughout your journey through the regions, since I only have 90 RC I'd only be getting 1 sort of tradegood (supplies) which would be Chi (used for the Magic armour), but it's still really nice as you can get good crew members/unlock scrolls/top tier ship.

 

absolutely killing it with the RC man. What runes did you craft?

 

Mainly blood/death esswraiths and nodes when they spawned, pretty much the highest level I could do (not sure if I was doing it right, though.)
