So, a few days ago I bought rsps gold from a seller (RRRD/Skatfort), my purpose was selling it aswell. I paid them and received the supposed login of the account containing the wealth. Fast forward to an hour ago I found a seller and tried to login to trade it, but it said wrong password. The reason I did not check earlier was because I wanted to avoid flagging ip. They never mentioned anything about using random resellers nor was there any terms of services presented/agreed on. Since they did not make a mention of said above and my inexperience with dealing in rsps gold I did not check, along with the flagging of the ip reason.

How they scammed: not sure yet if it is a scam or not, or if there is any whom to blame for.

Hey guys, to begin, please read what we just discussed. There is a serious issue in which the buyer, who appears to also be a seller or reseller, purchased a GP of RSPS without checking it first. It was only three days later that they informed us that the account did not have the same password, which seems suspicious. Additionally, when buying RSPS where the ban rate is high, after receiving the gold it is difficult to take responsibility. We gave them the account, showed them the gold, and that was it. We are seeking the opinion of the moderators of Sythe, as we have both conducted business before and it has always ended well.

 

That's not completely true, you never showed the gp, you never informed me you were outsourcing the sale aswell.
I just trusted your guys word on it and didn't check earlier because I did not want to flag the account.

I was under the impression the account was safe to use and owned by you guys, again, you never mentioned anything else to led me believe otherwise.

 

Do you see 1.5k people on my server and assume we play RSPS? We are resellers who specialize in buying and selling RSPS and OSRS. Could you show me the ticket that was opened on your server where everything is displayed? Can you send the transcript? Please make sure nothing has been deleted.

 

I tend to disagree with your take very much and to me it shows signs of bad bad business practice.

It was a bad practice, on both your part and ours.
1: My partner should not have sold to you on your server.
2: You should not have paid him first if you already have $100 donor status.
3: You should have made sure that the gold was there when the account was given to you.
4: You cannot come back and claim it three days later, bro.

He has already bought gold from us and knows that we are resellers. We have never sold our own gold, so in a way, the answer is NO. He just paid us and we gave him the account without verifying it, and three days later he complained to us to some extent.
Verification was only done when the seller gave us the account. We passed on the account with the password and that was it.

 

I can help you search for the account and the gold. I am writing to the seller, who has always been serious about his sales, but you will have to wait as the seller is currently offline.

 

I told you already, I did not want to flag the account if it wasn't necessary, I did believe it was a safe account to use from you guys yourself so I didn't question it any further and only tried to login when we found a seller, which happend to be a little bit ago.

 

I have already explained your big mistake/error. If I sold you an account with 5b07, would you verify it in 3 days? Would you verify it during that time?

 

Okay so it seems you don't really understand my issue and therefor I shall just await an reply from the moderator and avoid going back and forth with you on something we disagree on or you simply do not have an understanding of.

 

I understand your point and mine, but you do not understand mine. How can a sale go unnoticed, at least for 3 days? Put yourself in my place. Let's say you sell me gold, okay? Now I take it and just leave. After a few days, I come back and tell you that the account had a different password, there was no gold or it was banned. How can you believe me or make me believe that I am not at fault? Whatever the case may be, WHICH I AM NOT TRYING TO OFFEND, I want to know how we can resolve this since both you and my teammate made a mistake.

well, we have a problem, I am asking the seller for the key to verify if there is gold or not but what he tells me is that last night when he changed the key, there was no gold in it.
it is difficult to really know who took the gold, let alone 3 DAYS LATER.

Every time an account is sold, the access password must be changed. This prevents the seller from trying to recover the already sold account. osrs and rsps is not the same. in rsps the bans are much stricter and that's why people choose to buy the account outright. and since we are sellers, we do not own the accounts... it is just common sense to change the account data once the purchase is made
