He asked for song ideas not you people bitching over what korn is and who is shit in your opinions.

Download the Iron Maiden Rock in Rio live album it is amazing the best live act by far.

Dragonforce (powermetal) is an alright band, however their lyrics always consist of "Dragons and unicorns and far away places", which puts me off them. Dragonforce is not the only powermetal band, and definitely not the fastest.

Probably one of the only powermetal bands I listen to is Sinergy. Alexi and Roope's guitar is fucking awesome. Alexi and Roope are the guitarists/vocals of Children of Bodom (Melodic-Death Metal).

TDS: Korn was started in the 1990's. Metal and Heavy Metal (indeed many subgenres) have roots way back to even the 60s. Get out.

To bad that without Korn, Metal wouldn't be around. Just for some people to have a good read of there history and how they changed Metal and Re-Introduced 7 Strong guitars as they nearly would have been forgotten, I will photocopy a the 3 pages out of my booklet (or unless i find it on the net, it will give better quality anyway :))

The metal in the 60s and 70s were just so plain, no taste and was doomed from the beginning.

Here is a link that contains the same content as the booklet and I thank who ever spent there time to read and write all all that :) LINK HERE

thanks :)

anyways i love the song "Pyscho, Puddle of mud"

Korn originally made Metal and Heavy Metal and then because they swept the world after a couple of years into there music productions, other bands started to catch the drift of this new born music. If Korn was never made, the only music we would be listening to this day would be all hip-hop, rap, country, soft rock and rock (no hard rock, ACDC would classify as the top for Rock). Korn started most of what people (on sythe) listen to today.

Wow, umm, you're an idiot...

The metal in the 60s and 70s were just so plain, no taste and was doomed from the beginning.

Are you shitting me?!!!

And i recommend some led zeppelin, boston, van halen, or pink floyd. those are my favorites but idk about you, just experiment.

i like a lot of metal, thrash, heavy, metalcore
megadeth, slayer, lamb of god, anthrax, fear factory, mnemic, led zeppelin machine head

and metal would be the same way it is today with or without korn, korn is just some band, not that special
the real creators of metal are black sabbath or another band around the time

I doubt those the bands he's after aren't those more grindcore and such.

most of those bands he posted are very heavy like cannibal corpse, which is death metal and gorgoroth which is black metal

a good way to experiment bands is check them on itunes and preview their songs or on their myspace

Good job finally someone who realizes real talent :). Death metal especially requires a lot of talent, drummers especially. The drummers are so under-rated it's kind of pathetic.

No-one who likes Dragonforce can insult another's taste. They are terrible guitar players and terrible singers, with terrible lyrics to sing. I don't claim to be a metal fanatic, but I listen to the Scorpions, Judas Priest, even Elixir, which you've never heard of, and you have no idea what you're talking about.

metallica
acdc
iron maiden

You fail more.

You just said that Judas Priest and Led Zeppelin had no taste. You practically threw Iron Maiden out of the window, also. Not to mention the large amount of excellent bands you just forgot about.

Korn did NOT invent metal. Slayer and Iron Maiden are from the 80s, and trust me, they are about as metal as you can get. Death was founded in the 80s, as a Death Metal band, and Death Metal lives on with the same style today. The 60s was more relaxed, true, but it is definitely not tasteless.

You may like Korn, but many don't. Just because Korn has a different style of playing than the other bands does not mean they invented Metal. They just invented their style, and their style may influence many bands, but that does not mean they invented metal either.

Anyways, I'm going to get back on topic before I get warned, or banned, or possibly both.

Here are some bands you might like to look in to:

The Eagles
Dire Straits
Led Zepplin
ACDC
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Slayer
Death
Metallica
Wolfmother
System of a Down (I don't personally like them, but its worth a look)
Atreyu (be prepared for Alex Verkatzas' screams)
Hawthorne Heights
3 Doors Down
Mindless Self Indulgence
Limp Bizkit
Nirvana
Queen
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Stone Sour
The Who
The BeeGees
