[Roary] dispute

Im not sniping anyone who attempts to sell his rs name here or whatever.
In fact, i dont even use the script, i made it because some1 offered to pay me (on another site) for the script. (i can provide chat proofs etc of that)

And the intention of the script is merely to try getting rare names for RS that could be completely unrelated to this site.

The rule also did not specifically say that selling a name sniping script is not allowed. (even if u think that sniping names that are not sold on this site is also not allowed)

Anyway, i was completely unaware that selling some kind of script could be against the rules (i've read all the stickies under Software sales but they made no mention of it). Did a google and someone's post merely get removed (but not perm banned) for posting a sniping script (http://www.sythe.org/name-sales/1449129-warning-name-sniper-availible-free-now-warning.html).

So regardless of your decision on whether selling of some specific scripts should be allowed, could i be given a chance because im pretty here and completely oblivious to the hidden rule that selling a sniping script is not allowed?

I don't really care, but the bottom line is name sniping is against the rules.

Its the same as blackhat, doing the activities is against the rules, so selling the tools is obviously against the rules as well.

 

Whether you're sniping from other transferrers or Sythe transferrers, you're sniping. Same as if you scam an RS member, it's still scamming.

I originally thought I had gotten the wrong end of the stick and it was a name availability checker (which has been allowed - where people go through the dictionary to find rare & available names) but it is in fact a name sniper which continuously clicks to take a name being transferred.

If name sniping is against the rules, I don't see why helping someone to snipe names shouldn't be.
