Ripping DvD's?
Okay, i have about 160 movies that i've downloaded, have on my external hard drive and play them on my PS3.

I have a decent collection of LEGAL DVD's, and i was wondering, how would i go about ripping them, putting them into a format so that i can play them like i do on my PS3. I know its easy as hell with music CD's, but i've never tried regular DVD's. Is it easy to do? Can someone explain the process, also how i'd go about making sure i get the best quality from it. Such as when people rip cd's, lots rip at 128kbps, whereas i rip at 320kbps.

The only reason why i want to do this is to put it on my external hard drive, which is always connected to my PS3, so that all my dvd's are easily accessible, always in alphabetical order, don't have to worry about putting in/taking out dvd's etc.

Eh, only way to do this would be with the digital DVD's. Sometimes when you buy a movie they have a code for you to DL it.

DVD's have so much copyright material etc. that makes ripping them off a pain. You'd be better off downloading the movies online (like you did the other ones) instead of trying to rip them from the DVD itself.
Just my view on the matter, not really sure about it though.

Ripping dvd's is extremely easy. Just use Magic DVD Copier. All problems solved. Then you have them on your Hard drive and on disc.

4.7 GB each I think. I think it has options for recording. If not you can just get a converter.
