As outlined here: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

OPSkins has 2 weeks to let people withdraw their skins from the OPSKINS bots. After that point the bots will be permanently trade-banned for violating the Steam TOS.

This comes on the heels of OPSkins implementing their new "ExpressTrade" feature, which let people transfer items instantly between OPSkins accounts. This went directly against the recent update on Steam which restricted all items to a 7 day tradeban after being traded. Because OPSkins items are stored on OPSkins bot accounts, they did not need to be transferred on Steam in the ExpressTrade feature.

My Opinion: OPSkins are absolute retards. Valve implemented the 7 day rule for a reason, and it wasn't to "increase sales". All stats show that the 7 day trade ban reduced sales across all platforms, including Steam and everywhere else. This update was done for legal reasons, and to prevent Valve from being associated with gambling. OPSkins trying to circumvent this rule gave Valve every reason to finally put an end to OPSkins.

They were losing money either way the traffic they had after the 7 day trade hold probably wasn't enough for them to survive so they had to either take there chances or close down

I believe they're creating there own digital item trading using wax's blockchain now which people are looking forward to but in my eyes this is just a whole way for people to carry on gambling

They had a pretty successful run nonetheless, this is common though for huge csgo sites to shut down
