Here's a few. Got some of these from my friends:

1) Give it food and it will live; give it water and it will die. What am I?
2) What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, has a bed but never sleeps?
3) Pernounced as one letter, And written with three, Two letters there are, And two only in me. Im double, Im single, Im black blue and grey, Im read from both ends, And the same either way. What am I?

I got these from my friend, I don't know where he got them, so you might have heard of them. I was stumped on all 3, but then I got them

 

1. Fire, easy.

2. No idea :\

3. I only know of one word that is written with three letters and pronounced as one.

Eye

 

Lol, you got 1 and 3 correct, but 2 is hard lol. Took me a while to get number 2 myself.

 

Since Yami answered the other two correctly, The 2nd one is a river or a lake or a pond.. or something.

 

I remember one of my teachers telling the class that before. I just can't remember the answer.

A guy lives on the 31st floor of an apartment. He leaves his apartment and takes the elevator down to go to work. When he comes back from work, he takes the elevator if there is someone else there with him or if it was raining that day. Otherwise, he takes the stairs. Why?

 

Wrong. Thirteen has 8 letters (although, I guess if you were super creative, it would work because it only has T, H, I, R, E, N), but that's not what I was looking for. Good guess, but not what I was looking for.

 

It's not wrong rofl, thirteen has 6 different letters. So it's correct, because you can't prove it wrong

ok I'll actually post a riddle this time:
