Riddle thread! Post riddles inside.

What path am i on?

 

That riddle has been given a couple of times, anyways air is NOT THE correct answer to my riddle =).

 

Say, would you come with me down the path your standing infront of? One would say no, and the other would say yes.. The no = dont go.

 

You can only ask ONE question, to ONE of the people. Sorry if that was not made clear.

If the person telling the truth was guarding the good path, he would say: "yes"
If he was guarding the bad path, he would say: "no"
If the person lying was guarding the good path, he would say: "no" <--this is because he actually WOULD go down the path since it is the correct path, so he has to lie.
If the person lying was guarding the bad path, he would say: "yes"

If you get a no answer, if the person you asked was the liar, you would go through that path, but if it was the truth teller, you would go through the other path. Since you don't know if you asked the truth teller or the liar, this would lead you to uncertainty. Sorry. Try again

 

Ask one guard what the other guard would say would lead to Point B.

If it's the truth guy, he will tell you what the liar would say, so you choose the opposite.
If it's the liar, he will tell you a lie, so you would choose the other path.

This thread has turned into shit... There is no general discussion about a riddles.

 

So, im thinking its 5^5000000000 or 5 * 5 five billion times.
but that leaves out the variables.
so, im assuming everyone has 5 fingers. but if u figure that out of every single person in the whole world, one of them has lost his left hand, that would throw a zero into the equation, and anything times zero is still zero, so my anwser is zero ^_^

And Nathan, you can discuss riddles - how someone came to an answer, etc. There's obviously not going to be any discussion if people google the answers and whatnot, but I think there are plenty of posts that discuss the pattern of solving riddles [logic and whatnot], no?
