RiD vs Simba
Hello. I am noidea from SRL, and I am just going to point out how much I dislike this thread.

Please do not abuse our work. I have seen very few progress reports, or even posts from people that have recently come into our community. We have opened our arms, and many people have abused the privileges we provide to the surrounding community.

You have as far as to suggest gold farming with our platform. Do you understand how much gold farming has hurt the game you are trying to reap profit from? I know for a fact, no one at SRL condones gold farming, and suggesting to use the scripts the community has spent it's time providing and perfecting, for gold farming is disgusting. It disgusts me. I know a few will not agree with my post - its controversial coming to another forum and posting about values from another.

I like the work you've put forth to compare the bots, but you have to understand what you could be suggesting. Gold farming and using hoards of accounts for real monetary gain will never be acceptable at SRL, and I hope you and anyone else reading this will remember it.

Did I not read a guide on how to create a bot army on SRL? I mean I am personally not opposed to gold farming seeing as the game is already going downhill. I love the SRL community as they were very nice and I have only posted like 3 times. The community, in my opinion, is what makes simba so great.

Bot armies are not made for irl monetary gains.
What they are for is using a player rotation. Its a bot army when you have multiple players running in a rotation. Its a different type of army when you're running multiple players at the same time. Our armies are to help lower ban rates and lower the attention of Simba and the community as a whole. If the game fills up with color bots, jagex will obviously be obligated to take further action.

Shame on you for supporting gold farming. If you are not against it, you are supporting it - I know it sounds cliche, but theres a reason behind it. Its true.

Arguing the morality of gold farming while developing a bot is starting to sound like those RiD guys. There is no one rule-breaking any less against the rules than another form of rule-breaking, so trying to argue that gold farming is wrong while botting an entire army is hypocritical. To put it in your logic, you are either a rule-breaker or you are not a rule-breaker and botting for personal gain is just as much against the rules as botting for monetary gain in the eyes of jagex. Everyone is justified in their own eyes though.

If it sounds like 'The RiD guys', then they're ideas are right. Of course, we are all breaking Jagex's rules. We are wrong in their eyes, but not as wrong as those that destroy their game, their free gift to us. Since you are yet to read our ideas, I'll tell you. We respect Jagex. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have a game to challenge our self's with. We should appreciate what they've done for us, and what they continue to do for us. You should never feel contempt for them.

Botting an army while arguing gold farming is wrong is far from hypocritical. Excessive botting comes as a result of gold farming. It destroys the game. SRL's "armies" do not. Compared to the type of armies you see should roam Runescape, they are a blessing.

Please keep in mind SRL's mottos including respect jagex and the idea of blending in, rather than pillaging, when using Simba - Thanks.

As I have said to the RiD guys more than once, if you truly respected Jagex you would abide by their rules because botting is botting. I mean botting to get 'an edge' on the competition will hurt the game just as much as gold farming and selling to other members who are trying to get just as much of an edge as you are. How is not having 30 characters rotating botting not hurting the game? You are taking experience from those players who are trying to actually play the game legitly. At least the gold farmers kept prices down on the goods needed to level so people who actually have a life can play the game without botting. Jagex has made the game so ridiculously end game that if you don't no life it or bot then you won't have any fun because all you will be doing is grinding. Jagex has drove the community to bot because it is too much of a time commitment for a casual player to come in and play the game.

If thats how you feel. Maybe someday you'll come to realize.

yeah i use simba and i used to use rid all the time, its just simba with smart was more convieniet for me, for some reason my virtual computer sucked and would crash every now and then.

Simba just needs some more scripts, I currently use narcles autofighter for power ranging at yaks and it works great getting 40k xp and hour with 5hr proggies!

I feel both are the same but simba is more convienient and its not hard at all to understand after 5mins of research.

the msi is also great for alching, got 99 mage in sw running 12 hrs a day. Recommend it!

If simba gets opengl it will be awesome. But i think they should do something to prevent gold farming.

RiD vs Simba
I've tried using Simba, I haven't found any good scripts at all, plus it is so complicated. I think I'm gonna stick with RID however can anyone tell me any current RID scripts that are working flawlessly? I tried the powerminer, and it failed...

RiD vs Simba
I have recently become a HUGE fan of both of these, i run both for over 5-8 hours a day, simba on 6 accounts distributed equally, RiD only on my main. RiD is not close to as expensive as people think, but i won't take the time now to explain what i mean, i don't truly want RiD bots to become overly popular anyway. Simba is completely free, not quite as user friendly (the community IS as user friendly, the client and scripts are not. Just to keep that straight).

In another thread, simba and rid representatives somewhat talked about why they thought their site was better, and i felt this is an argument worth having. While i feel both are great, and it should be a friendly competition between the two, I much rather either than rsbots, rsbuddy, etc.

My suggestion would be Simba for any accounts that aren't your main, RiD for your main.

Here are some strengths and weaknesses for me:

Simba -

  • Multiple accounts much more accessible and convenient to use
    [*]Customizing scripts is possible
    [*]Open source
    [*]Script variety
[*]Offers msi, for amateurs, which is multiple script integration.
[*]It allows you to not only just input information and bot like RiD, rsbuddy, and rsbots but set it to rotate between accounts so you won't suicide if you leave it all day, it will bot a given number of minutes per account making your chances of getting banned much safer. This is my favorite feature.
  • Gold farming possible (in my opinion, bad thing)
  • Less noob-friendly client than RID
[*]Takes a lot more knowledge about basic scripting to get full use out of it than any other client (aside from scar, which is virtually unused now)
[*]Solves less randoms as of right now than RID
[*]Currently resurrecting/rescripting color scripts since it used some reflection, RID didn't use any reflection and was not set back one bit.

Robotz In Disguise -

  • The safest way to bot now and it has been since it's release, i would be willing to bet it always will be.
    [*](Virtually) Perfect scripts.
[*] Almost NEVER goes offline for more than a few hours, regardless of what updates runescape comes out with.
[*]Offers the best autotalker (responder) runescape has ever seen, this is truly artificial intelligence. A robot you downloaded.
[*]Every bot is completely unique, no two bots are exactly the same, meaning even if you and your friend run's the same script with the same setting they won't be exactly the same.
  • Large scale gold farming impossible (in my opinion, good thing)
    [*] Very limited script selection
[*] Unable to solve ~45% of all randoms
[*] Requires virtual box OR allowing it to use your mouse
[*] Using on multiple accounts could get pricey/complicated
[*] Under constant DDOS attacks as of late, hopefully will end soon.

Both -

  • [*] Much nicer, more helpful, all around better communities than rsbuddy, rsbots, epicbot, etc. Probably due to the lack of "noobs" using these bots as opposed to rsbuddy, rsbots, etc.
[*] Don't use runescapes game code, therefore don't attempt to fight jagex on jagex's turf so to speak.
[*] Much less convenient for ruining runescape via gold farming and such
[*] Are most-likely the future of botting, looking forward.

[*] Much harder to create, therefor much weaker at completing randoms and doing complex tasks than reflection and injection bots were.

I really do believe these clients are the future of botting, and while I'm glad the majority of bots have been defeated and i predict will never return with half the impact they previously had, these bots provie a short-term fix for the "grind" of this game while jagex is working on the long-term fix.

This thread is to discuss your preference between the two, argue which is better, and so forth.

A good contrast.

I found Simba very difficult to install and setup. Infact i've failed twice!

I would love it if you could help me out on setting it up?

Thanks.

I wasn't going to justify this with a response but hey, whatever, i'll entertain you.

I never suggested goldfarming, nor endorsed it in anyway. The fact that it's possible is simply that, fact. It's not hard to figure out that it's possible either, it's not like i'm at all making people who wouldn't have otherwise done it anyway start. You should really stop attacking me personally for comparing two different ways of botting, and posting UNBIASED facts about them. I agree with basically everything you said, and I said nothing but good things about the SLR community.
