Revive The Guide Section

We all know UE/CA wasn't the most successful idea that's been implemented, but in the process of applying you were required to create up to 5 detailed/practical guides. I'm not asking to bring back UE/CA of course, I'm simply requesting to bring back the guide section. There was several useful guides there, in many different subjects/fields. Also I've been thinking about creating Android OS guides, to generally help the community.

Thoughts/opinions on this?

Too many people were writing guides, being accepted as a UE, and then never visiting the section again. Basically they just wanted a free rank.

 

i support the idea, there needs to me more free guides. i havent seen people with any user educator ranks for a while..

 

That's because there isn't a UE/CA rank anymore. They were removed aswell as the guide section, which is what brings me here today.

 

Why didn't they just remove the rank then?

I bet you anything if a moderator did an IP check on you, it would be a matchh with a banned user.

I support having a "Guide" section reinstated. I won't support the return of UE, however.

 

Exactly what I stated in my post, thanks for the support everyone. I'm looking forward to helping people with some Android guides, hopefully the section gets reinstated.

 

Kind of support. But let's be honest, almost all of the info in the guides could of been found with a google search.

 

Full support of a guides section returning with all the old guides, people put in loads of time into those and it was sad to see them go when a chunk of the guides still served some purpose. I'd say it should go as a sub-section under the Help & Requests section, similar to how Homework Help is now.

 

Support, would it be possible to transfer the guides from the previous section to the new section? If so, that would be great. I'd love to be able to get some free knowledge
