About time Alex
Oh, how I've missed you. Wish we could talk more.. or rap battle like the old times.
Also, thanks once again everyone.
Returned to moderator status dumbass.
Welcome back man !
welcome back hope you can mm some trades for me.
gratz homie g dawg gangsta fello pimp
Though I believe his post was deleted, someone asked for 'proof' regarding my biased claim. If his last moderator term wasn't enough, I'll explain my own experience. I ask that you read all the threads/logs before making a judgment, and pay attention to the dates. Otherwise don't bother posting a reply.
It started when I 'backstabbed' him with an infraction. I wasn't aware you're supposed to give a free pass to people you talk to. Please read the dispute: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=701210
Still angry about the infraction, he created a thread attempting to breed anger: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=701286 Again read the whole thing, please.
Next he went to Rsbot, trying to use his power to 'get back at me'. Now Alex claims it was a coincidence he found this apparent rule violation the same day. Although it's clear he was already angry at me(see threads above) and how he happened to see this signature violation was strange. I had only 5 posts on Rsbot, and hadn't logged in for awhile.
Here's the conversation that followed...
Ironically enough he was more than willing to swing his vouches for friends, even help them get their gold selling thread stuck. They were leechers on Rsbot but I guess that 'build your trust at each establishment' didn't apply. Their post linking to their middlemanning thread or the '5000+ handled" on Sythe didn't break this rule either, I guess.
Back to the PMs...
The text in my signature was "Sythe Official Middleman" or something close. I wasn't advertising my services or asking for vouches, just saying who I was.
I did call him an immature little boy, and I wish I worded it differently. I was worked up and it was a heat of the moment thing.
The final result:
I'm sure some of you are thinking: Why does this matter? Events like these show a person's character. Alex was bias and wanted retribution. I have no doubt he'll do it again, and probably get away with it after the staff stop watching.
I don't see how my last term as Moderator has anything to do with this. I resigned.
I posted the thread with a sadface even, because I couldn't believe you infracted me for posting it. I was fit to MM the trade, and I was the one that was going to MM for them as well, which is why I posted on the thread.
I wasn't really angry about the infraction, but more-so surprised. I didn't make the thread to "breed anger". You're just inferring that based on your desire to try and get me demoted. I posted it because of what you had posted about me. It was completely unexpected, after I had resigned and then tried to get you into the Staff by leaving my Off-Topic Moderator position to you. Things didn't work that way, however.
That was never my intent and you know it.
As previously discussed, I edited your signature to eliminate any chance of you being infracted, as your standing of an Official Middleman on Sythe has no relevance to RSBot. In my signature I put the same exact thing, and I was asked by ImNotSaying (SMod at the time) to remove it from my sig or I would be infracted. Because of that experience back in July, I just decided to remove it to protect you.
You knew what I meant by saying that. I meant that you can't just bring all your vouches from Sythe and your standing from Sythe over to RSBot, as vouches from Sythe are against the rules at RSBot. They had references to Sythe as well and I asked Ethan to remove it as it was against the rules. He willingly did so.
I posted there to help start them off, as I knew them both and I trusted them. There's nothing wrong with that.
I created your RSBot Account for you and gave you a temporary password. I also upgraded your account from Newbie to Member instantly so you would be able to post threads and post in threads so you wouldn't have to wait forever for your posts to be approved. Also, I asked you to post an introduction thread and I posted verifying that you were [N]ick from Sythe. What's wrong in just putting that thread in your signature instead?
And yet, I didn't hold any grudge...
Which we discussed and then I apologized for removing it. I never infracted you in the first place. My only intent of removing it was to protect you and you blow it out of proportion to make some scene.
I never wanted retribution. Why are you so intent on trying to get me demoted? I'm not corrupt, so I'd really like to ask if you would just stop with your fallacious accusations.
Also, thanks for not including this... =\
How many times do I have to apologize for you to realize that I was at fault for removing it from your signature? I never had any malicious intent and nothing bad even happened. It was just a bad experience in which I tried to protect you / help you out and it's just been turned around into me being a bad person.
Not to further derail the thread, but didn't you get Mod at rsbot after getting OMM there in December using the 80 something vouches you had at Sythe?
But, I agree with Unb4nn3d. He admits to his mistake, and you still hold a grudge. Why?
P.S. Why does somebody always make the promotion threads into a load of e-drama?
I got Mod on RSBot in late July. OMM came long after that. Also, there is no 'OMM' on RSBot, and I'm not even close to that there. RSBot only has 'Verified Middleman' as they do not feel there is any way you can truly be an 'Official Middleman' of the website.
I'd answer that, but it wouldn't be very nice. :\
But you were an OMM from rsbot (I clearly recall this), Iamirite?
I was once before back in February when I first became Mod on RSBot. I was a Sectional Mod in 5 Sections as promoted by The_Flames when OMM did indeed exist. I was given the OMM Rank, but in-between my resignation from RSBot and the what is now the rules have changed. This is mainly because Ins3 (A.K.A. Dividedbyzero) has taken over as the SysAdmin since JUST BEFORE I was re-promoted as an SMod in July.
I see. Not to further derail the thread, but where did the_Flames go (I never see him on MSN anymore)?
Gratz on mod (again).
The_Flames is on RSBot everyday. Feel free to leave him a Visitor Message.
Alternatively, you could also add his MSN.
MSN: [email protected]
Okay, to get this back on topic. Thanks once again to all of those for your support.
You seemed somewhat angry about the infraction there ... you even went as far as to call him a backstabber for infracting you...
I did help him quite a lot. I wasn't too thrilled about it, but he took it to MSN and started flaming me. I then inappropriately took it to the forums. I later apologized for my actions towards him, but he didn't care to hear it. Lateron came the RSBot incident, but because of the days previous, he blew it all out of proportion.
Not to cause drama, but I have to side with [N]ick. Through my experience with Alex, I have found he does act different with power. Midway through his last demotion and this promotion, Alex was the guy to talk to. At this period *I believe* he was told there was no chance of him regaining staff. A while later, *I assume he was told there was a poll* he turned snobby. He stopped joking around, became ultra-professional and started to talk like Finn.
Nothing against alex, but I have told him I like him more WITHOUT staff apposed to with it.
