    Response to questions

Note: While I don't feel like my ban was warranted, I have chosen to open a pardon rather than a dispute since the activity in question could be taken either way. It would be a waste of valuable time for the moderators to have to respond to a dispute thread and later, a pardon thread if the initial dispute is not accepted.

    Your profile link: www.sythe.org/members/348446-mafiaclan.html

Report/post/reason that got you banned: Offsite Amazon Refund service I used.

Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess to now: I have nothing further to confess. The services I advertise here on Sythe are legitimate and those that have dealt with me directly can vouch for my professionalism. I believe my ban was a misunderstanding and would like to clear up any fogginess related to it.

It's apparent that the person needing to hide behind a throwaway account and going out of his way to request my ban was doing so out of malice towards me. I'm used to being threatened by disgruntled ex-employees and competitors, so something of this caliber is not unheard of.

Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you: I used an offsite Amazon Refund service in the past.

I have always dealt honestly with others online and my sales history and spotless record reflect that. As it has been made clear to me that refund services are frowned upon on Sythe I understand the reasoning for my ban and have no problem distancing myself from it.

If it makes a difference, the amazon refund was not done for personal gain. I was asked to middleman a transaction between someone who did not have an account on the forum where the seller advertised. Being a person who has a decent reputation on virtual goods forums, I figured it would be a good deed to have the seller deal through someone trusted, while offering the buyer a chance to receive a service that he otherwise would not have received since he did not have an account or reputation on the forum itself.

Amazon refunds would be my only involvement in anything that could be classified as blackhat. I have never scammed anyone in my line of business nor have sought to deceive anyone during few years as a virtual goods salesman. I would appreciate some support from those of you that have seen me around these forums and can attest to my honesty and good will as a seller and member of the Sythe community.

Did you fully read and follow this sticky thread in the pardon section?: Yes I believe my formatting to be accurate.

Going to wait to support/not as this pans out.

I've traded with him before, and he was easy to deal with as well as very professional. I don't like the blackhat looking things. He's swearing to no interest in these activities, though this seems off.

I'm inclined to believe Mafiaclan. From what I know and have seen, he conducts his business legitimately and runs a successful website.

Not a chance this time, ain't buying it

You literally say "I am now on my way to acquiring my own Netflix, Minecraft and other accounts."

There's also posting personal info (IP) http://www.sythe.org/13131610-post32.html which is a 1 month ban in itself that was never enforced AFAIK

Too much has been left out of this and there's too much shady stuff for my liking

The way I see it, yeah you're a successful booster with a good site, but you do a lot of stuff that we don't really want here on Sythe (related to netflix cracking, amazon things, etc.)

Stay clear of it all for 6 months and you'll have my support, but for this time it's a no.

    Response to questions

This is a followup response to the questions I've been asked here: http://www.sythe.org/request-pardon/1784509-mafiaclan-requesting-pardon-amazon-refunds.html

As a forewarning, this post will be quite long as my appeal is not doing well. This is not a new appeal, it is simply a response to some of the questions I've been asked there. Instead of having to contact mods to update my responses for me, I figure that I address them all here in a secondary post. Hopefully one of you can combine my response here to the relevant thread since I am forced to post on an unregistered account.

It's clear that most of the moderators voting on my thread have never dealt with me in the past, so I can understand the bias when it comes to deciding the outcome of the appeal. Most of the disputes I've read in the archive here are by actual criminals who are confessing to their crimes. This appeal is nothing like that. I'm being held accountable for actions that I have not been involved in. Still, it appears the "evidence" that was submitted has been interpreted in the wrong way. An image without a description next to it can appear that way. I'm hoping to flesh out each accusation fully so that nothing is left to chance this time around.

With that said, I was advised to make it extra clear as to what I was involved in and what accusations do not apply to me. My ban reason was stated as "social engineering - amazon refund" and as such that was the topic that I addressed in my appeal. The ebook vouch was left out of my appeal as it was irrelevant to the ban reason. Further, I had not used the ebook for malicious intent, it was merely for my education about the topic. If I had actually been involved in account cracking, I would have confessed to it and addressed it in full. Unfortunately, it caused some unnecessary suspicion for you folks when I did not address the screenshot. In my hopes of keeping my appeal short and to the point, I guess it backfired.

So I'll address that point now. I am not an account cracker. I don't steal from people online and never have.
I've been a member here on Sythe for several years now, so if I were truly a crook these behaviors would have shown through. There are no threads about me soliciting any cracked accounts, or mention of me participating in cracking on any forum or community.

So why did I leave a vouch for the cracking ebook? It's part of that forum's customs for the more senior members to participate in vouching user services and products for new threads. This method helps weed out poor threads, and to validate quality ones. So trusted, senior members with authority (post count, account age, reputation) often have the privilege to vouch for new sales threads. Either they receive a discounted price or a free sample of the product. In my case, I asked for a discounted rate, as I was genuinely interested in the topic of cracking. Not for personal gain, but just as a member of the general public would be curious. I also am familiar with illegal drug trafficking, terrorist organizations in the Middle East, and hacking. But my knowledge of these topics is limited to only what I have seen in documentaries, movies and books. It is no more than that of an audience member, and my curiosity does not extend beyond the definitions of education and/or entertainment. As my business deals with League of Legends, I was definitely curious at how all these sales threads were popping up selling hundreds of silver, gold and platinum accounts for under $50 each. Obviously the methods were illegal so I never took part in them. And because of my education on cracked accounts, I was able to successfully identify and report threads advertising these "unchecked level 30s" and have them removed from the forums.

A simple search for Bisuone or Mafiaclan on that forum will show you that I often vouch for services and products of varying origin, having a senior account and having my "vouch" valued above others. I know the comment looks a little sketchy, but that's my style of commenting. If you look at any of the comments I've left on Sythe, they go beyond the bland "thanks" or "great service."

I like to leave my comments with substance, so of course I'm going to be playful and say "I can't wait to use this guide!" even if I never intend to do so. If that comment was interpreted the wrong way by the moderators here on Sythe, then I apologize. I have nothing to hide, you can search all you want for scam threads but my practices are clean and my intentions pure.

As for the Amazon Refund, I believe that I should not be held accountable for facilitating a transaction that I was only involved in as a middleman to go between the buyer and seller. Even here on Sythe, middlemen are only responsible for safe trading between buyer and seller. The fact that I left feedback on the seller's thread to let others know his service was legitimate is something I would expect all middlemen do to let others know that a transaction went well. With that said, I understand if you want to tack that on to my accusations. I have said everything I had to say about that. The only further proof would be to have a trusted Sythe admin browse through my Amazon purchase history. I currently have no social engineering activity in the 7 years that I've been using the Amazon service.

You all do your best to keep the forums clean, but without being too forward about it - you are making a mistake by assuming that I'm a criminal. I don't know what else I can say to help my case, but you're all welcome to Google me and search these forums for any of my posts. I regularly report mischief, and occasionally do my best to assist others. I am quite frustrated that my appeal isn't doing as well as I'd hoped. If a trusted seller loses his account here on Sythe, it will be an unfortunate day indeed.

If my persistence is being misinterpreted as aggressive, it's only because anyone in my situation would be frustrated to be losing their account when they are innocent. This is the dedication of a trusted seller trying to do his best to defend himself, with a jury of peers that have limited or possibly no prior interaction with the accused in the past. You may not know me well, but I'm asking that you look at the truth here and make the right decision.
