Explanation of the trade:

On the 9th of October, I approached Smite Services to order some GFX. We settled on a deal of $90 LTC for thread layout titles/graphics and a couple of logos. It is now November 4th and the order is still not finished.

How they scammed: Made false claims by saying he made the GFX on @Corby 's thread when actually it wasn't made by him. This was the main reason I proceeded to pay him. He delivered unsatisfactory products overall, and insane delays while still bumping to get more business.

As of writing this report I believe I have been patient enough. Unfortunately my business is continuing to face losses as I delay the re-launch of several projects. As you will see in the provided chat logs, I have been respectful throughout, even when expressing urgency. However, it has come to my attention that Smite Services has also made a big false claim, which is the primary reason for me posting this report.

Points I want to emphasize:

1) I have displayed supportive comments (eg: looks awesome - meaning so far), however I did this to encourage completion of the initial drafts. I was planning on asking for refinements to be made on everything once everything was delivered successfully. I held off on asking for improvements on the thread layout (eg: making the text centralized, or making one that says 'FAQ' - which he forgot to make).

Overall the work produced for thread titles is borderline satisfactory but would require improvement. The eye on my character/mascot is glitchy for example. Consider it a chess move on my part. I have concerns about him delivering a satisfactory product, so I encourage him to hopefully get him to complete (he still hasn't), and then save a list of proposed changes until the end once I have a complete delivery of everything initially asked for.


2) I praised the RuneVIP logo out of frustration for it finally being delivered. I regret saying I like it as truthfully I think it looks trash. I am prepared to write off the RuneVIP logo though, but not everything else.


3) The "Liam's Group" logo provided was lazily produced - I could have typed it myself on a text generator and screenshot it. It was not acceptable and I politely asked for an improvement and even provided some minimalist examples. As a client i should not be required to do this. Other GFX artists I work with are able to add their creative vision and I am a simple guy and usually have no issues. I have still not received this despite pushing twice for it.


4) BIG ONE: Smite Services claimed he made @Corby 's thread GFX which I used as an example. This excited me as I like Corby's designs a lot. His threads are creative and I really like his marketing style. After knowing other sythe users have not had good experiences with Smite Services, I decided to ask Corby who made his GFX, linking him to the exact same topic Smite Services and I discussed. Corby told me it was in fact Zulu that made his GFX. This means Smite Services lied to me to get me to part with my money for an inferior product/service.

Based on #4 alone, I would now like a refund for this order and I will not use any of the GFX required. I do not like deception, and being lied to like this has made me less forgiving for the low quality product. Although I gave encouraging and positive remarks in DM's, I have now lost patience and all respect. Out of transparency I will share all of the chat logs (DM and ticket). There was one initial ticket I cannot access, but all the necessary discussion and trade dealing is present in the chat logs provided below.

Smite Services has failed to conduct himself professionally as an artist. He has continued to bump his topics excessively while being unable to complete current orders in a timely manner. It is clear that other users have received poor quality and rushed pieces too. I have given plenty of friendly reminders and pushed for updates. I even gave him extra time last month when he said he needed a week. I proposed Nov 1st to give him longer than a week. He then tried to avoid this deadline until I pushed him a couple of days before. I also suggested that he stop bumping his topics while he is overwhelmed with work and IRL commitments, he acknowledged this somewhat but continued to spam his topics to attract more orders, while failing to fulfill my order and those of other users.


What I aim to achieve from this report:

1) Add pressure to Smite Services to prioritize his current clients (not just myself), instead of excessively bumping for more $. His current way of approaching business is very bad, and he deserves these complaints against him.

2) Very generously offer the current options to Smite Services considering I do not have complete finished products in a usable format such as .png:

a) Cancel the order for a full refund and I will not use the GFX. I haven't received final versions anyway, the only versions sent are .webp format and some don't even have proper text alignment.

b) Partial refund of 50% for time wasted and I can have another artist fix the current work or start from scratch.

I did just deliver all the work needed at 1th of November already, Liam was just upset about 1 thing, the Liam's Group Logo which I just made it and he didn't like so he explained and I did tell him I will do him another one, what he did is a full disrespect of other people's time and just went to report me on sythe without waiting for the remade version of his logo!

 

And I didn't know that he was downloading the downscaled pictures by discord, so I just sent him the full files in a .zip file. You should see what he requested and what I did already, I'm ready to give any of you sythe mods a full access to my server to review those reported cases.

 

I waited long enough for;

- work to be completed
- messages to be responded to

You talk about respect, sir. If you respected my time, you would work WITH me towards completion, instead of extensively bumping your topics to try and make as much money as you can.

On the first day we communicated, you even said "Thanks Sythe" in response to the pending rule change on GFX thread layouts/advertising. Aka "Thanks sythe for making me $$$$"

You're too busy trying to make more money by taking advantage of a rule change, than respect your current clients that give you the money that you seek. That is the definition of a bad service, and it is the definition of bad business. You can deflect this as much as you like, but I know other people annoyed with you over the past month (not including the other user with a report open against you).


On the corby claim, you cannot wiggle out of that one. You made a stupid decision by claiming you did that work. I literally linked you his topic as an example, and you responded claiming you made it.

 

Please wait for mods to review this, I'm not going to explain this misunderstanding, you got your work already as you requested, I will be waiting for the mods.

 

If you're going to be uncooperative that is fine. I am also happy for mods to offer their opinion.

I believe I have explained in detail my concerns, however if anything needs to be clarified then I will do so ASAP.

You cannot just take money and then take a month to deliver incomplete work without checking if your client is satisfied, not reply to them, miss several deadlines, make repeated false promises, and then think that is ok. That is bad business. Add false claims to that, then it's entering fraudulent territory. It's like me saying a top gold website is my side project, when it is not, then using that to sell a product or service.

Lastly, I refute your claim that "you got your work already as you requested" - as the current time stamp of you typing that message, that is factually false.

 

I'm not uncooperative, you are the one who choosen to report me, so I will respect that and wait for sythe mods to sue this case.

 

I do not think I need to explain why this report is warranted. The original post explains in extensive detail. I can clarify anything that is unclear, or if there has been any oversight on my part.

You are dismissive, disinterested, and focused on getting as many clients as possible only. Churn and burn business. It never ends well. Your attitude here demonstrates exactly what I pointed out in my original post, and has been pointed out by others. You have reports open against you based on your own actions the past month, you have work returned to you from other clients that haven't reported you (confirmed to me on discord). You should reflect on this if you want long term success.

I would be inclined to write this off if it wasn't for your poor business practices and false claims. I do not expect you to be the world's #1 GFX artist, but what I do expect is a professional service.

I asked for an ETA on Oct 22 at 12:53am (Beijing/Hong Kong) timezone. Granted this was after we had already started the order - approaching 2 weeks in. In response Smite Services said he would need a week, and I gave him extra time and suggested he stop bumping. I gave him until Nov 1st, which he agreed and thanked me for.

As for the GFX, like I said in the OP it's borderline satisfactory overall, but I would need changes. Most importantly, I'd need Smite Services to focus on the job instead of excessively bumping for more work. It's clear he is trying to take on as many clients as possible following the thread GFX/advertising rule change being implemented.

Specifics on what needs done (I was going to save these until the end to have him follow a check list):

1) Smite Services did not produce the sub-title "FAQs". This needs to be done. Customers always ask similar questions, so I need this.
2) The eye on my character/mascot beside the "Liam" title is glitched - it looks like an AI generation glitch. This would need fixing
3) The Liam's Group logo definitely needs working on, and rather than just deliver it, he can work with me as his client. Send me updates like "what do you think?" , "how does this look?" etc. I am currently working with another artist that maintains good communication throughout.
4) The text alignment on all titles/subtitles needs to be center aligned. Some of them are not centered, so one side has a bigger gap than the other.


- I will take the loss on the RuneVIP logo, I'll accept it as is. I praised it out of frustration for finally being delivered, and also used it as a positive to focus on while asking him to fix the "Liam's Group" logo which wad clearly rushed. The Liam's Group logo is more important as it will be used on a website marketing my group's portfolio of brands and services.


I am flexible, and I would be prepared to complete this order IF a deadline can be agreed upon publicly. This would add the necessary pressure required for Smite Services to work with me as a current client. If Smite Services does not want to do this then we can reach a settlement with a refund and agree on whether or not I have the rights to use what has been produced so far.

Lastly, the claim regarding Corby's work is what pushed me to proceed with this order. that is very clear in the chatlogs. I link him Corby's topic. He says he made the pieces. I take his word for it without checking (I will not make this mistake in future), and I promptly proceed to pay him. I began having doubts when he didn't maintain good communication, and needed frequent prompts. Other users on discord have also been dissatisfied, and I noticed a report open against him. This is why I reached out to Corby yesterday to ask. Once I received the answer from Corby, it was the final straw that pushed me to open this report.


So to summarize, I opened this report for the following reasons combined:
- lack of professionalism
- disinterest in his clients, excessively bumping while rushing the pieces I had ordered
- to add pressure as I've lost all patience in prompting him to take me seriously as a client.
- Fix all current specific errors on the work produced, or come to a settlement.
- Falsely claiming to have made Corby's thread layout pieces - final straw.


At the very least @Smite Services should reflect on his actions the past month and move forward with more self accountability. The way he has conducted himself as business/service owner is unsatisfactory. His reputation amongst discord users and having reports open against him reflect this. The reports are not unreasonable based on the circumstances. Making false claims, even if not for malicious intent, is entering fraudulent territory. Focusing on obtaining as many clients as possible ("Thanks sythe") while neglecting your current clients is a churn and burn approach.

Hopefully this clarifies everything and I am prepared to cooperate with some form of settlement.

Third, you’re claiming that I said I made Corby’s GFX. I already explained that I was referring to Corby from Flawless, and that I made something similar in style to his thread — not that I made his actual work. There’s nothing misleading about that. I can clearly produce that kind of design, as proven by the work I delivered for you, which you yourself said was awesome.

Fourth, you mentioned that I said “thanks Sythe for changing the rule.” Is that supposed to be a violation? That statement doesn’t harm anyone’s reputation and doesn’t make me greedy — it was simply a normal reaction to being happy about having the chance to do extra work, like any human being.

From what I see, you’re just trying to make a show by reporting me — maybe trying to get something back from the $90 you paid, instead of simply communicating directly. The moderators can see the chat logs — I was cooperating and helping you, while you were trying to tarnish my reputation, which I don’t appreciate at all.

So I’d like to ask you to stay calm and wait for the Sythe moderators’ decision on whether I did anything wrong.
I didn’t scam you, I didn’t violate any rule, and people have already told me that you have a habit of making big public reports just to get attention.

Please, Sythe staff, review this report carefully.

8th November:

"FAQ" sub-title still not produced - part of the initial package I paid for. So he did not even bother to check what he had completed aligns with the instructions. This means what has been delivered is not complete. Smite Services also has not sent a revised Liam's Group logo despite saying he was working on it.

I am posting this to point that out and ensure it is not overlooked.

No further revisions have been made, and neither of us have communicated further outside of this report. Like I said in my previous posts, I am flexible and would consider a settlement or completion of the order providing a deadline is forced into effect - then we can communicate leading up to that deadline.

Not that a comparison is relevant or necessary but I am working with another GFX artist at the moment that is giving me daily updates on the work being produced, and discussing each piece being made.

@Smite Services - If you are prepared to work with me to an agreed deadline in public, we can finish this order. I cannot trust you in private as like with myself and your other clients you always have an excuse for being busy, not at home, out with friends, out of town, etc. Yet at the same time actively bump your topics to take on more business. However, if you are just going to deflect all responsibility and ask for mods to step in then that is really disappointing for me as your client.

 

As I told you, I will not make a move till any of the mods puts an end to this report, and I respect what they decide.

As for the Liam's group logo, please try to follow my revision instructions. If you are outsourcing this work to your workers or affiliates you need to ensure they understand the instructions. If they cannot read English then you will need someone to translate. In case my instructions are not clear, the logo is text based but not simply just typed out text, that could be achieved by typing into paint and saving the image. It needs to be a clean minimalist design like in the many examples provided. At the moment, the logo you have provided is not a good enough standard, and would not embed properly on a website header. You can send me updates while working on the piece to ask if it's going in the right direction. Another GFX artist I worked with over the past few days did this and it allowed us to maintain the same vision.

Also please refer to my response to @Zora above and make the necessary revisions to all of the other sub-title GFX delivered. The text must be center-aligned properly so the gaps on each side are equal.

No need to do anything with the RuneVIP logo, I will write that off.

Like I said in multiple previous posts, if you can work with me I am prepared to finish this order. I believe that is extremely generous considering all of the context.

Would you agree to 3 days to finish the revisions? If so, then due to timezone differences lets not include today and start counting from Nov 10th 00:00 and finish by Nov 13 00:00 (Beijing/Hong Kong). If not, or if you have anything else in mind, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Alright, this is going to my final post on this report unless I am asked to by mods.

It's now Nov 13th 0:04am and @Smite Services has not acknowledged my previous post, so is clearly not willing to work with me on completion of the order.

Recap:
- Smite Services has just been deflective throughout.

- Smite Services has opted for a churn and burn approach to business. Excessively bumping for new clients, while neglecting his current clients.

- Smite Services has repeatedly made excuses for delays, not just with me but his other clients too.

- Smite Services did not deliver the agreed package on time. He even delivered the "FAQ" subtitle on Nov 9th, so over a week after our agreed completion date of NOV 1st in which I had already given him extra time.

- Smite Services claimed to make Corby's work. I linked him the thread and he took credit for it. He is trying to say it was a misunderstanding, but I do not believe this to be the case. Even if he was so negligent to not check the thread properly that I linked him, he should have not taken credit for it. The other user Flawless may be affiliated with somebody called corby, or called corby himself. But it is extremely clear I was referring to Corby. I would refer to any user as their sythe alias.

- Throughout this report I have made my points clear and attempted to explain everything in detail. All while remaining flexible and offering Smite Services multiple suggestions on how to move forward. He was been unwilling to respond to any.

- Smite Services has not fixed any of the issues highlighted. Such as the text alignment on sub-title graphics. He has also refused to communicate with me while creating pieces, send me progress or revision updates, etc.

- I believe this demonstrates he does not care about me as a client, as he doesn't care whether I like the pieces or not. It is good business to care about your customers, communicate clearly, and work with them on revisions. Smite Services has not exemplified any of these qualities.


To conclude:

I have tried my best to work with Smite Services here in public to ensure accountability, but it has not achieved anything in over a week. I have given up on seeking cooperation from Smite Services following my many offers in my previous posts to come to some settlement or responsible completion of the order.

I now propose cancellation of the order for a full refund and I will relinquish ownership of the pieces delivered, and would delete all files etc. Many pieces are incomplete and some needed revision which haven't been met after asking multiple times here. Therefore, I have not received what I paid for, and I have given up on trying to obtain what I paid for in confidence.

I now also request moderator intervention, and welcome any other thoughts on how to settle this matter.

1st of all, you don't have to rights to insult me at all, even If I'm not being that slave you want, you should be respectful, you have no rights to say I'm deflective.

2nd, all of my clients are not like you, they ask for something, they get it.
What you did is, asking for something, getting it, then asking for a refund or a rework.

3rd, When I made excuses that was during the ongoing work and you already agreed on it.

4th, I already explained how I claimed to corby's work ( Flawless Builds ).

5th, You are reporting me, insulting me, and saying that I don't get to bump my threads. Then you asking to complete your work which is already completed, won't say anything about that.

6th, I already care about my customers who asks respectfully, not just reporting and doing mass topics to disrepute me. All of my customers are satisified with my work. They are not like you and scar who u used to hide his name in your screenshots.

7th, you got your work completed and you're still asking to complete? How is that possible?

8th, You got your work completed and still asking sythe mods to punish me?
