I've got nothing to do with BotCity aside from giving promo to Kate for his server as he provides alot of free moderation work for WK Plugins.

From everything i've been told i agree that it looks like BotCity got a worker for services, didn't do their due diligence and it was an imposter scammer who decided to list gold and scam you.

I've removed the BotCity's promo in my server as i was under impression things would be made right in a circumstance like this where someone given the right to sell ends up scamming a customer. Im aware open markets aren't allowed to be promoted on Sythe and assumed that because only workers were allowed to sell in BotCity it doesnt constitute an open marketplace. I was under the impression vendors were vetted workers which would make BotCity liable in the case that one of those workers scams.

Dear Danaly aka. Danly, WKPlugins & Sythe Moderators,

Firstly, thank you, Danaly, for opening a scam report as we advised.

It is important to clarify that involving third parties like WKPlugins in a scam report in which they are not involved is inappropriate. This can result in "name shaming" and negatively impact their sales and reputation on Sythe.org. Details regarding any affiliation or partnership with WK will be addressed later.

This report will be broken down into several parts, so please bear with me as this will be extensive.

Actual Scam
Unfortunately, it is true that the Discord user d.efence (UID: 667983466947805215) did scam Danaly.

When a buyer clicks "Buy Now," our bots automatically generate a ticket between the buyer and seller, with Bot-City administrators monitoring the tickets. The report mentions a scam amount of $400, but our ticketing system, based on the buyer's input, indicates an OSRS GP sale of 2000m (2B) with a total price of $340. There is a confirmation from the buyer, Danaly, agreeing to purchase 2000M OSRS GP at the rate of $0.165/m, totaling $330. - Link to image here: imgur.com

Danaly proceeded without confirmation, without re-submitting a new ticket reflecting the correct amounts, and without approval from the administrator team. Crucially, there was no new Terms of Service (TOS) signed off before proceeding with the purchase. This action is a clear violation of our TOS, as every individual ticket, whether for accounts or GP, must be signed off by all parties before any transaction can proceed.

Actions taken by Bot-City
Bot-City administrators have taken corrective actions as outlined in our Terms of Service (TOS). User UID: 667983466947805215 was banned from nine different Discord servers on the day the scam occurred. Additionally, this user has been added to the community-based "Scam Bank." For more details, please refer to Point 6 of our TOS.

Terms of Services (TOS)
As previously mentioned, each individual ticket created, whether for OSRSGP sales or account sales, must be signed off by all parties involved: the buyer, the seller, and an administrator on behalf of Bot-City. The TOS agreement, available here: imgur.com , clearly states in the Liability Disclaimer that all transactions between buyer and seller are conducted at their own risk. The Payment and Delivery statement correctly indicates that Bot-City does not handle any transactions.

Support By Bot City & Demands from Danaly.
We take this matter very seriously and have extended numerous support options to Danaly (Danly) : UID: 962742584738988132. To assist him with this scam, Bot-City offered 15 accounts free of charge, with a market value exceeding $700, as a gesture of goodwill and because we genuinely sympathize with his situation.

Danaly refused our offer and instead demanded the following: 10 x SOTE TOA accounts with a market value exceeding $1200. Additionally, Danaly requested free scripts from WKPlugins as compensation, despite WKPlugins not being involved in this report.

It appears that Danaly may be intentionally involving WKPlugins to use as leverage or possibly even as a means of blackmail. However, we also understand that emotions can play a significant role in such situations.

What is Bot-City?
Bot-City is a platform where administrators (Owners) grant users permission to sell accounts and OSRS GP. Only Verified Sellers can post their sales. We thoroughly screen our Verified Sellers and implement trial periods with them to ensure reliability. Hereby called Verified Sellers as Workers.
In this case, it is unfortunate that the Discord user d.efence (UID: 667983466947805215) committed an exit scam. Prior to this incident, we had not encountered any issues with this user.

[Input Required] - This should be still be OK in the TOS of Sythe: Sythe Moderators kindly confirm;
Advertising of Trading Platforms: A trading platform is defined as a Discord/forum/Facebook page/etc with open trading channels where anyone may advertise. Results in a 1 week ban.
A Discord with closed trading channels where only the owner of the Discord or their workers may advertise is permitted.

WK Plugins Involvement.
To clarify once again, WKPlugins and Bot-City are not partners, associates, or connected in any way. Mentioning WKPlugins in a scam report they are not involved in is extremely harmful to their reputation. Corrective measures have been implemented by WKPlugins, and we support Mac's messages above.
The inclusion of WKPlugins in this context, seemingly for leverage or blackmail, is highly inappropriate.

Resolutions & Continued Support
Before addressing resolutions, we kindly request the following from the Sythe Moderators:

• Confirmation on: [Input Required] - Please verify that this is still acceptable under Sythe's TOS.
• Confirmation that the involvement of WKPlugins is unjustified and should be removed from this scam report.

• This has nothing to do with the TOS. As the Owner/Administrator, I am personally selling GP. I offered it to you, and you declined. We are making you aware that buying GP for a price of .165 isn't realistic when the prices are .185. When something seems too good to be true, it's usually a scam. You proceeded on your own without confirming with us, as mentioned in my previous post..

• It doesn't say anything about us not caring about Sythe. Walibi's message is accurate. We wouldn't spend a lot of time investigating and seeking solutions if we didn't care.

Regarding the last four Alinias, please see the confirmation from Mac himself in the previous posts.

Again, Danly (UID: 962742584738988132), I'm not here to engage in a blame game. We also want to get this resolved. We are waiting for the Sythe Moderators to respond and confirm before proceeding with the resolution.

 

You are grossly misrepresenting what is in each screenshot. You are just slinging shit calling everything/everyone a scammer.

The screenshot showing botcity being promoted in my server is from before i was made aware of any of this occurring. This has been removed until this has been resolved (also pending a decision on whether botcity constitutes an open marketplace).

BotCity isn't a scam server, they clearly made a mistake and in short i agree you should be refunded by Botcity admins if a worker scammed a customer.

Due to the fact that Sythe confirmed on their behalf that the above mentioned server is tagged as a "Open Marketplace" and therefore not compliant with Sythe's TOS, Lobby is enforced to use the his own TOS which includes the Liability Disclaimer: Transactions are at your own risk. This concludes again that the buyer & seller are reliable. - As previously shown above this has been signed off by all parties multiple times.
