Requesting Someone To Fix A Signature

I recently made a deal with someone on another forum to make me a signature. After we negotiated the price I was to pay, he sent me a sample image with a watermark, and told me that he will send me the un-watermarked version after I paid him.

I gave him the cash as we arranged, however after that I never heard from him again, he went completely inactive from the forums and a lot of time has now passed.

I was wondering if somebody who was skilled at photoshop would be able to salvage this image that I have attached by removing the watermark.

If the text is a problem then I have no significant attachment to that specific font, change it at will, or change the whole damn signature if you like as long as it's better than nothing.

I appreciate anyone who can help me very much, can't believe someone would put me in this situation.

Note: I only have this raw image file, no .PSD, or any other image extension :/
