    Request for Pardon, Misunderstanding

    Dear Sythe Moderators and Community,

I have been an active member of the Sythe community for years now and I have always found that while there are some bad apples among the bunch, the majority of the community upholds honesty, integrity, and compassion in their trading and services. I would like to start this request in such a way by being honest with you and explaining why I am here requesting this pardon.

A little while back my Sythe account was building up a good reputation through the sale of accounts here on Sythe, most notably the sale of one of my pures to an ex-Sythe moderator. I always attempted to make my customers feel safe about their purchase presale, during the sale using a VMM, and post sale with providing my own personal contact information at their request. I have attempted to help another user recover an account that I sold him in the past after he lent it to a "friend" who then changed the information, and after submitting a recovery appeal to Jagex I was able to regain access to the account I sold him and gave him the information and the account back.

The trouble I got into started when I bought an account from another user on Sythe, who, without my knowledge, had purchased this same account from someone else who had purchased from someone before him. I knew that the account had a previous owner, but I thought that the individual who sold me the account was the only previous owner. I then resold this account for the same price I purchased it for (around 30m) to another user on Sythe who then went on to resell the account to someone else at a profit (sold for around 40-50m). I informed the person I sold to that the account was purchased from another member on Sythe, but I was unaware of the complete history of the account and how many different users had bought and sold it. The account ended up being recovered (by someone further up the "chain of buying and selling" than me, and the user that I sold the account to came to me demanding 40-50m (I can't remember exactly) which was more than I had ever bought or sold the account for since he flipped it for a profit. I did not have access to this amount of gold and I was unable to repay him, which was what eventually got me the ban that I received.

I would like to reiterate that I have not and would never purposely scam or act in any malicious manner to any buyer or seller on Sythe, but unfortunately I was caught up in a long line of scammers without realizing it until it was too late. While I understand your decision either way and appreciate the level of support and security you moderators bring to Sythe, I sincerely hope that you may look to my character, history, and reputation when considering whether or not to unban me from my favorite RS trading platform. I thank you for your time in reading my (some what long) request to be unbanned and if there is any additional information that I can provide to you to sort this out please let me know and I will gladly provide it for you. Sythe has always been my favorite place to purchase OSRS related services and accounts and I hope that I can continue to be a part of this amazing community.

    With the utmost sincerity,

    Matt
