I´ve got a little question to you guys
can someone post any OCR source for rs in vb6 or any tut?
like --> Kururo - RS2 OCRHere
because all links are death
any other source of tut is very welcom

Bud doesnt someone got the source from an ocr in vb6?
some are posted in the archive from sythe.org bud the links are death
and the link from the file in the topic "project] OCR Source" is also death

can someone repost it or a good tut?

OCR
Optical Character Recognition
AKA
DCR
Digital Character Recognition

Basically, it reads characters in images and places them into a string in the current program, then the program can use selection statements (If (String == X) { ) and decide on what to do from there.

This has many uses, such as ones in runescape for cheating or reading images in those CAPTCHA verificators you see on sites like rapidshare/megaupload/forums etc.
It can also be used to help disabled people, such as scanning a book page and allowing a voice synthesizer to read it out aloud for them.

It has many uses, and is a universal tool.

Which means it basically reads letters/words in images.
 
@ Jaz, is it like when something right clicks on RS it shows "Mine Iron" for example, the OCR reads "Iron" and clicks there instead of randomly clicking and hoping to get the right option and now "Prospect Rock"
 
Almost. Most of the OCR's created and used return the entire string shown. So if it says "Mine Iron XBillion other options" it returns all of that (if the OCR is good enough)

It is then up to the programmer to make selection statements to see if "Iron" or any other word is in that string (in VB usually instr() ) and then do things.

But essentially you've hit the nail on the head :D
