    Are we allowed to recover accounts from scammers?

    I'm posting from a VPN because I don't want to be associated with my main account. Can we recover accounts from known scammers if we've sold to them before we knew they were scammers? I sold a few accounts to scammers and would love a chance to recover them if it's allowed as in Divica's case. Thank you.

    You can't recover accounts and divica didn't recovery their account.

    Please merge to other thread. Will you take my word for it if I say I also didn't recover an account? The original owner is ALWAYS responsible for account recovery. Divica didn't provide any proof that she didn't recover the account. All you have is her word.

    Honestly, if it's ok to recover accounts from scammers, I'm okay with it. I just want to know if it's allowed before doing so. In Divica's case she could have recovered it and could be lying. Or maybe she's innocent. Nobody will ever know. This is why it's paramount that the original owner always be responsible.

    You're setting up a dangerous precedent if you're not holding the original owner accountable for the account. Future recoveries from scammers will point to this case as a green light for their actions.

    You're not allowed to perform anti-scams without Staff approval or you'll have to pay them back what you scammed them for.

    If she didn't have permission for an anti-scam, why isn't she being held responsible? At least have her pay back 300m to the community or have her recover the account and give it away to a scammed community member. You do realize there's no way to tell if she recovered or not and you're letting her get away with a possible recovery?

    Anyways, if she allowed to not be held accountable without staff approval for this recovery, this means it's ok to recover from scammers, and I'll most likely be taking advantage of that sometime in the future.

    You're taking things out of context. OP of the scam report claimed to have lost account details but was under suspicion of having sold the account and requested Divica to recover the account to possibly scam the buyer. We chose to have OP pay back for his own scams before considering having Divica recover the OP's account. OP never paid back for the scams and as such there was no need for Divica to even attempt to recover the account for OP.

    If things are unclear just add me on discord and I'll explain how you cant anti-scam without staff approval. Thanks.
