Basically your using a program to connect to a private network from your computer, and then using the IP the network assigns to you instead of your actual IP. Pretty much doing so will keep you from getting Doxed/DDoSed.

A lot of personal information is stored away wile using the internet and may be used later to harm or fraud you. A lot of sites you give your personal information might be selling it out to other people. The internet isn't a game, serious things can happen, they're crazy insane people out there.
