After playing this game for a long time and archieving most of the basic goals in runescape - you decide you finally have enough ingame wealth to buy yourself a nice name which you can enjoy for years to come.

After negotiating about the price for a long time we agreed on 250M for this name - even though I knew this price was way too high for a name like this, but Folt was not willing to drop the price because he is determined trick out his customers as much money as possible. Knowing people that have sold similar names in the past; Folt's prices are tremendously high en his profitmargins are huge.

I agreed on the price because it is the IRL name of a good friend of mine and I wanted to give him a nice surprise - nothing is too good for your friends right?

After the purchase you'll be left with your brand new cb 4 account and naturally the first thing if transfer the name to your own account. With the new bonds update I was able to do this instantly. However, there appear to be people that have rare names added in their friendlist -I personally suspect that these people to add all the names that are for sale to their friendlist and try sniping every single one as soon as they see them coming online. Atleast this is what the owner of the account told us (might even be a complot).

To ensure I was doing the right thing I asked confirmation on the process on how to transfer a name - since the latest update. And Folt said that this was indeed the right way to do it.

After changing the name twice on the bought account, I try to change it on my main - please notice that between this is only a couple seconds - but it was already sniped by someone that knew that this name was for sale.

So basically: When you buy a name you'll be left with an account which has private on. Therefore there is no possible way to prevent snipers that the concerning account has been bought and from that point on, people will be notified to snipe your account. Even if you do the name transfer a couple hours later, there will still be people/bots trying to snipe your name. And there's nothing you can do about it!

Folt claims to be "floored" about the situation - probably because I am one of his first customers since the namechaning update.

He even says "stupid ingame system. It's way too slow". This comfirms once again that it was not my fault that this happened. I couldn't have known it. You might think: "Well, he couldn't have known it either". Very much true, but if you try to run a respected and succesful business, who should be duped in a situation like this? An unsuspecting customer or the owner of the names shop - who roughly earns 25k$/year 'on the side'

Folt offered to sell me another name with discount, but no name is as unique as your own IRL name. Eventually I agreed on a discount on a second name and in a fit of temper I said: "I'll post a negative feed back on your topic as incentive to make sure that the second deal will happen, I will remove this as soon as the deal has taken place".

Folt however believed this was considered blackmailing and "doesn't have interest in doing any further business with me". He would just contact one of his buddy moderators to remove my post.

In my opinion, this is just my humble view on 'FoLTs HUGE Rare Names Shop'. And want others to know that this might happen aswell.
