    Hey,

I just like to say that I find this really cool and am thankful that you are spenting your own time to help people out.

I was wondering, I am somewhat "fat" and i'm not sure what to do to lose the weight. I have a gym membership but can be considered a "noob" about the machines they have nor do I know how to use them or which ones to use, therefore I don't go as when I do, I just use the treadmills. Any advice on what I should do?

Well, hitting the treadmills is a good start. Before even getting into exercising, i must say that you should work on diet first and foremost. Diet is critical when trying to lose weight. You cannot just go to the gym and eat ice cream and cookies and expect to see a massive body transformation. You do not have to drop everything you eat cold turkey, but try cutting bad things out of your diet gradually. Maybe for 2 weeks cut out candy, then the next 2 weeks cut out cookies and candy, etc.

As far as weightlifting, I recommend doing 10-15 reps per exercise. to be clear, this means you want your muscles to be fatigued after 10-15 reps into an exercise. You should do 3 sets of the selected exercise(s). These days most machines show which body parts they target and have a brief explanation of how to properly use it. You can use these guides to decide which machines might be right for you.

    good luck, my friend
