Remove the width limit rule for signatures

I like it, it condenses signatures and gives you space to click and scroll so there isn't a link going across the page.

 

Agreed. I don't even like it when people have big siggy's even under the limit now, speaking of, I need to reduce mine >_<

I like the rule because I find it annoying having the sideway scroll at the bottom and also why would you possibly need a sig wider than specified?

No his isn't, the rule only applies to images because they stretch the screen of some users if they are larger than your browser window. Try it- adjust your browser window and the text will morph to fit, whereas large images will cause you to have to scroll across the page.

 

I was infracted for having a string of images that went across the page, which morph as well.
One big image isn't what i'm saying, i mean
IMAGE IMAGE IMAGE IMAGE like my gfx, if i had them all on one line.

Then you weren't in the wrong - the rule was put purely in to place so it didn't stretch members browser windows, and as yours didn't then the infraction should not have been warranted. As long as one SINGLE image does not exceed the width limit, and as long as all the images (if stacked on top of each other) do not exceed the height limit, you're not breaking any rules.

 

Since when was it that? I always thought that it was the entire sig, but I could be wrong.

Just realised something, Sythe would never get rid of it because that would allow people to have images that would be ridiculously long. Do you want that or just to extend it?

 

Of course it's never been officially outlined as that, but surely if it acts exactly the same as your text signature then he should not have been infracted for it?

For example:
I could be viewing Sythe on an extremely small computer screen causing all his images to stack, and therefore he is fine as it doesn't stretch my browser window. BUT then another moderator has an unusually large computer screen, and for them all the images are in just one single line - they don't stretch his browser window of course, but it does appear to breach the allowed maximum width for signatures.

 

I just reread what you posted and thats what I thought it was. You just explaineddd what I already knew and it seemed different. lol

 

I think the current rule might need to be amended.

 

Watch people put images like this in their sig. Then maybe you'll change your mind.

Even tho I do not support if it were to take place only a upgrade of the current size would occur not an abolishment all together.
