Remove SytheGold or give it a clear function.

 

There's no reason to remove it. Perhaps brainstorm ways you feel it can be more useful.

No need to remove. Just needs to have a purpose for it. Lots of good ideas out there already as well. Hopefully Matt can come back and apply some of those ideas.

 

You could make the same argument for miniranks... at least SG is tradable and thus has some (albeit small) monetary value

Seems fair, what functions did you guys have in mind?

Some people collect miniranks and find them nice to look at. As of right now, SG represents nothing more than just random numbers.
Before you mentioned it I didn't even know SG was tradable and haven't seen a single person trying to purchase it (no demand -> no value).

(But perhaps my argument is contradictive because this thread and exactly this argument will give someone the bright idea to purchase SG - thus creating demand and value.)

 

Like everything else, it is just an arbitrary number: post count, likes, referrals, etc. As mentioned above, and unlike the others, Sythe Gold can be traded.

Lastly, I enjoy the memes that come along with it, so with that and everything else said, I do not support the removal of Sythe Gold.

 

No Support, it existing doesnt harm anyone and it might have a use in the future

 

I initially said that there is no demand, and thus, no monetary value for SG. This is the core assumption that my suggestion was build on. I am coming back from that POV;
