    I have interacted with five different people in relation to items that I am selling, and they have all denied me the opportunity of selling due to my 'postcount'.
    I come from three different forums, which have a structured feedback and accommodate for members who do not take the number of posts someone has when trading with them.
    I am suggesting that a measure be implemented that hides the postcount.

    If this is denied by some of you guys, I ask you;
    Why is it so important?
    People can get an idea of one's postcount simply by their rank.
    Allow the user to see their own post count.

    The forum will deteriorate if this contunues to go on.

    The postcount is simply depriving newer members who intend on trading legitamately.

    No-one really takes into account the amount of posts you have. You're a Dec 2012 join date and this is a black market website. Many people just register on this site with intentions to scam (not saying that this is you). Just because people don't want to trade with you because you have low post count, doesn't mean it should be removed.

    To answer your question, post count isn't important, it just shows members how active another member is by the amount of times they've posted.

    Post count is an incentive to post. Just because it's pointless doesn't mean it shouldn't be there, look at the spam forum for instance.

    This is also in the DNS list (in some form).

    Has been suggested before. As stated, denial was for these reasons:
    -Post count does not matter. It shows no amount of trust above any other user and is simply an indication of activity.
    -As per your "new users who wish to trade legitimately," unfortunately this is not the case on Sythe. New users, in the past and most certainly in the future, newer users are less educated and more likely to be involved in scamming or be the victim of scamming.
    -There is no reason not to show post count. It is a small incentive to post in non-spam sections, and Sythe is not growing as much as it has in the past, so all activity that is rule abiding is helpful to the site traffic flow.

    People should never be trusted because they have many posts, vouches are what counts. So, if someone refuses to use you because of your low post count just move on to someone else, who doesn't care about that. It's a good idea for you to gain some vouches first by doing some free services, or just cheap services for a start though.
