Make a sticky in support section or spam forum or another forums.

I'm most likely going to get banned but hey may as well help other dnt's

DNT question

By this thread with screen shot , it shows the difference of opinion on the rules that dnt are allowed between sythe staff and sythe himself,

I feel as if there needs to be clearer sticky outlining what dnt's are allowed and not allowed to do,

This sticky is not enough If you have the DNT rank you must not attempt to trade because a lot of members who are currently dnt most likely had the same idea's as me that you are allowed to as long as your sythe account is not involved in any shape or form as if you were one of countless member's without a sythe account who use these forums.

everything needs to be covered in this sticky.

DNT mean you can't do any form of trading on this site,
You can't trade with any under any circumstances. this includes gambling, trading, services or any other form which involves your money exchanging hands or you offering your item for money in return. DNT only limit's you on this site and not other sites, so you can go trade on powerbot, tribot, hack forums etc.

DNT's are allowed to enter in some community events but it limits you in some of the community, for example, you can't become member of the month, you can't enter some community events (they will be displayed on the thread), you can't use some of your donor perks (if you are a donor) and you can't pm people or display your mini ranks.

DNT is the first step into rejoining the community, the benefits of it compared to being banned are quite simple really, you can be involved and talk to the community and be a member of the forums which if you are staff will it look at it and it will benefit you future pardon . if your an active member you can request a pardon every 3 months instead of 6.

bump feel like this issue is important

 

At the moment if a user goes to another sythe user's gold site and buys something from them then we treat that transaction as though it occurs on sythe.

Therefore the existing rule seems to be that any two sythe members transacting anywhere are subject to the sythe rules.

Logically it follows that a DNT member can't trade a non DNT member offsite.

However as staff have pointed out we haven't been enforcing this rule. Our staff act as courts not police. We can't police offsite activity.

Frankly DNT users should just repay what they owe and pardon.

We're not going to address any scam reports involving non-DNT users who get scammed when trading DNT users.

And although it's against the rules for DNT users to trade as I said if it happens offsite we're not policing it.

 

Just to reply to this part not all dnt's pardons are successful even though they aren't a threat to the community even if they repay example me.

but all that is need is clarification on what were allow to do and what were not allowed to do since I try to follow sythe rules like I always have. (besides in spam forums were I try troll people but it's the spam forums)

This would mean we don't hear cases where the users communicated over any platform except the sythe discord and PM system. That would exclude most cases we hear.

 

If it can be shown that they knew or could reasonably have known they were trading with a DNT then we wouldn't handle it as a scam report.

If you trade with a banned member or a DNT member and you get burnt we don't care. The warning is there for a reason. If you want coverage do your due diligence.

We would still accept evidence relating to additional debts if the DNT tries to pardon.

It's the same set of rules as if you were trading with someone who is banned. DNT is a subclass of ban.

 

It's moral hazard.

We give clear instructions: do not trade with this user they are not on the level. You trade anyway, you get burnt then you expect us to further punish the user. No. Do your due diligence. You're got exactly what you asked for.

We're not wasting staff resources on banning and unbanning DNTs everytime some idiot trades them.

From a DNT you can get banned for attempting to trade on site. Since you don't have PMs this is basically limited to posts that attempt to trade. You can also be banned for breaking community rules like spamming in the wrong section. And you can be permed for an indictable offence, just like everyone else.
