Eoc Is Here

Jagex just announced the date that EOC will be fully released. In thirteen days (20th november 2012) the game is going to completely change.

In preparation I've just sold my claws and managed to grab a cool 13.1M for them before people noticed.
In addition, I'm going to hold off on my Powerbot VIP status this month as I'm guessing all the bots are now going to be down for the foreseeable future.

What are your thoughts?

Wonderful. As soon as the beta was released I checked it out and decided to sell my runes for 200m magic due to the spells changing, and I have been waiting since then patiently for this update to arrive, as I really wish to continue training that skill. I only hope that no major changes have been made since the beta such as to exp rates.

I managed to get at least 1.2m strength exp per hour on my friends account which is level 114, with simple gear using a type of glitch.. not sure if it would be wise to do that on my main though.

 

I'm quitting or just heavily botting.

 

Actually excited to see what's going to happen to the game, community, and player base.

I don't play anymore, haven't in a over two years. So the update won't affect me from a playing aspect.

 

Downhill I imagine.

RuneScape was special because it didn't have the combat mechanics of WoW GW, etc. and now it does

 

I quit as soon as i found out about EoC in the first place and started playing wow instead, If they would of choose not to go through with EoC i probably would've gone back to RS. like subaru_fan said: RuneScape was special because it didn't have the combat mechanics of WoW or most other MMO's.

 

Hope it brings community up so its a bit more active. I'm not a player anymore on really sell accounts and RSGP occasionaly.

 

Dont like EoC, for me runescape was fine as it is, now its just completely changed, especially for users back in 03-04

 

I'm done playing, it's obvious that they don't care about the community (or what's left of it) and seem to just want to replace their player base. Fuck MMG, he's ruining this game.

Eoc will do anything but kill the game. A game that does not change is a game that dies. Change is good, people dislike the same thing over and over again. For every 1 of you old "Veterans" leaving there will be 2 people joining RS I'd say. I don't disagree, I think there will be a 1:2 ratio like you say, if not more.

It's quite sad that they didn't launch EOC as RS3 and keep RS2 on separate servers, in time people would have migrated over to RS3 anyway I imagine.

I honestly hope it draws in new players. It will not only benefit Sythe, but it will increase trading activity in regards to RSGP.

 

I'm actually intrigued on how it all will work (haven't played Beta)

I can see there being a fair few bugs to abuse too

Gonna go play wow :3 Blizz isn't atleast changing the game that much , It's still the classic wow <3.
