Removal of the "help" section on Discord

It's a useless section that either @Shin or @Chloe created just as an outlet for personal use.

1) New users cannot even speak via voice until they are fully verified so what use is it to them?

2) You've banned the only helpful people from entering the channel.

3) It's being used as a personal voice channel. Mods were in there just chatting away last night. This afternoon it was used for a personal conversation channel for Jayme and Chloe. It is not being used how you guys keep stating it is, get rid of it.

4) Stop implementing useless things that bring no attraction to them other than yourselves. Creating a Discord is free, make one of your own to test out your little things.

Honestly I support it being removed, personally I think it's a useless addition to the discord as you can just ask for help in the chat and will get a response 99% of the time or else where, I mean how many people have legitimately used it for help since it has been added?

I don't really see the point of it currently; but it's there in case people need it, if it doesn't get used properly then it'll be removed eventually anyways.

 

Why are you replying like this is a joke? You create a useless channel for you to AFK in when there is already an AFK channel. A multitude of people have requested your input and assistance and you've been unable to help them already. There is no reason there needs to be a VOICE channel when all Discord items can be fixed via text chat.

 

Funny how as soon as the spotlight is shed on this useless addition to the discord, those who can actually help (still no voice chat is needed) are unbanned from the section.

 

If it's not being used for its intended purpose then yeah scrape it.

Honestly is a section on a discord really that big of a deal though? I mean this shouldn't even be a big enough issue to warrant a actual sythe suggestion.

There seems to be plenty of other places for people to talk on it, and if new users cant even use it properly, then I agree with scraping it.

Totally unbiased here btw, I don't use the discord hardly ever.

Overall Support on this one I suppose, although I don't think a suggestion really needed to be made on sythe, regarding an unofficial discord SECTION.

 

Or people could be normal and ask in the main channel, you'll most likely get a serious answer if you're asking a serious question.

 

It's only being used to house their own personal conversations. It's not being used for help. Anything needing help can be assisted with in text chat and if truly needed, ie; adjusting voice characteristics can be taken into any of the miscellaneous voice chats seeing as they aren't full.

It is a little chat room that has no actual bearing on the discord. You do not have to be a new user to utilize a help feature. Perhaps you get scammed, or perhaps there's a report against you and you want to discuss it directly and quickly with a mod. Well, you can.

If it doesn't get utilized? It's just another room and there are no negatives to having it. There are multiple other rooms that don't get used and have no purpose so why should we remove one with a purpose?

I see no incentive to removing a room that is there to help other individuals and frankly I doubt most people do. The desire for removal likely comes out of certain users desires to troll anything they're able to.

 

Stop white knighting for Chloe it's actually ducking annoying how naive you are. The help section has been removed already.

 

The "Help" voice channel has been removed and replaced with a text channel instead.
