recruit a friend suggestion

can i suggest that if members recruit new users to sythe, that they should be held 10% responsible for each user they recruit who goes on to scam? you can change the percentage and the punishment, but the general idea remains the same, reward those who recruit good members, punish those who recruit bad members.

i think the link is safe and secure, you wuld have to hand the link to the right sort of character

 

if the link is not safe and secure, i recommend we make the link only usable one registration period to get around this problem. we do not want people registering with a users link to get that user punished.

 

No support. This mainly encourages people to make their own accounts and use those as Referrals as you can't be responsible for someone else's actions. Also there are lots of websites who link users to their referral links to let them create an account on Sythe. Also, what about those who have already had referred people? Imo this is either useless or too late.

 

no, this would stop people sharing the link mindlessly, and thus lowering the chances of scumbags coming along. i recommend we make sythe.org a closed community, and only invite those who are worthy and have the right character to join.

Uhm I've used my link in my swapping thread to get people to join up whilst using my services, some just use my link - as far as I'm aware none have scammed or etc some have only used my services and haven't used the site some don't use my services and use the site.

So how do you expect this to work? Most people just want to have referrals and the reward for that is the referral system.

What amount of time should a new referral be on the site before the person who referred them to the site gets a reward?
Edit: also what happens after you have been rewarded the person scams later on?

Why should it be a persons fault if their general use of the referral link means someone down the line has scammed or abused the site?

Should people's reward for referrals be removed if the person is banned or has scammed? Is it counterproductive, too much effort to put into practice?

Think you should define what you want a bit more and what is being effected here and how it will change things or what you want it changed to.

 

i just mean it would make people think twice before placing their link in a scumbag forum such as hackforums or on the deep web. i don't think people should be rewarded per se, but if they aren't punished, you could argue that they have been rewarded by the mere fact that they were not punished.

 

How do you know if people are placing their sythe referral link on to the deep web or even offsite? Your suggestion is saying reward good referrals? How do we know if anyone is a good referral? Someone used my service three times and never used site I stopped swapping they stopped using me and the site. Are they good referrals because they didn't scam? And idk what u mean by then last line >.>

So your saying I invite my friend who I believe is a good guy, eventually they decided to scam, I should now be punished because I misjudged a persons character?

Not the worst troll you've done, but there is no way for you to know what your friend is capable of and it would be ridiculous to hold someone else accountable for the actions of another.

It's different if your friend is like scam him! And you're like ya! 'Cause then you'll both be banned.
