Recovering account via email

I've had a problem with my account being hacked. The first time I tried to recover it with email, I had the option to change the pass from there. Next time I tried to do it, the link doesn't work at all. Does anyone know how the recover via email works? Thanks

 

I thinks it sends a new pass or your chosen pass to your email if the hacker hasnt changed the email

 

Well I because it's sending me the email to mine to verify, I think its probably the correct email still

 

The recover with email thing seems to be quite arbitrary.

I think it's working or not working depends on how long ago the email was set.
