Recording XBOX? Anyone do it?

I want to start recording my gameplay on my 360 and was wondering if any of you do this? I have a laptop so if you could tell me what I would need for that. I have hdmi so I wan to record in HD. But, should I start off buying a dazzle? or should I just buy something a little more expensive and save myself the money? I am looking to not spend too much but I know this will not be the cheapest thing in the world. Thanks

 

First off, dazzle cams have pretty bad quality. My friend uses an HD PVR; though I'm not exactly how it works. I've also heard they're quite expensive, but they give quite good quality if you can get the settings correct.
