Reason for ban?

Hi guys,

I have been on and mainly off Sythe since 2008 on my account "Guineapigcal". I tried to log on today after more than a year and found that my log-in didn't work. In trying to change the password to the registered email address, I was surprised to find I was banned. It could well of been the account was compromised since my last visit but I'm fairly sure the post-count remains the same. If you could offer some clarification on this matter, or even resolution, I would be grateful.
