Real Talk [Botting Question]
So I've been doing my usual botting ya know, 10 hours a day with breaks so it's probably like 6 hours in total a day. Can I just leave the bot on 24/7 with breaks? I see people talking about 24/7 botting, do a lot of you guys do that kind of thing or what? Thanks for the help in advance

Real Talk [Botting Question]
yea u could, but it increases ur ban rate alot.
jus do 13hours no breaks if u want a good, solid, and relativly safe day of botting

Real Talk [Botting Question]
It is strongly not recommended to leave your bot on 24/7, unless of course you do not really care too much about the account you are botting on, which is probably why you are botting it in the first place. Even as you said, you bot 10 hours per day with breaks, that to me is still risky. A lot of people you see who do bot 24/7 are suicide botting, trying to get the 99 fast and quick, or trying to earn much money in a short amount of time. This is not safe, and it is likely to result in a ban eventually. I hope that this helps, and best of luck botting your account!

Real Talk [Botting Question]
It would only increase your ban chances by 4x.

Why? Because you'd be playing 4x more. 24/7 is just as safe as is 8/7 or even 2/7 in an hour-to-hour basis. They don't take time played into account as ban evidence.

Real Talk [Botting Question]
Never was into those 8hrs/day rules, I sometimes bot overnight, sometimes 2 days straight, and sometimes I dont bot for 2 weeks. 4 Years of botting like that no ban :)

;) Now it's 2 experienced posters who say 24/7 is fine versus 2 inexperienced posters saying it's not.

By the way, the only way to "safe" bot (without not botting) is just to do your research on the script. Buy scripts that are stable and don't do thing inhumanly fast. "AFK skill" (like cooking) scripts are often the best.

Real Talk [Botting Question]
Trust me I am not new to this (join date :D) I just always have been botting fairly safely for the past few years and wondered if turning it up even a few extra hours a day is safe? So you two more experienced guys say that botting more often is just as safe or what?

How do they detect the bot then? Then don't take time logged in (24hrs is humanly impossible) into account?

Real Talk [Botting Question]
I think he means in terms of the overall scheme you know what I mean, like if there is 100 hours as opposed to 10 hours played, I do agree that 24 hours straight would probably draw some flag, but I was planning on doing it with breaks so it would be like 3 hours, then 1 break etc.

This implies that time played has no relation to the ban. Actually, it's even directly proportional. So logically, the ban has nothing to do with the time played, and has to do with some other aspect of the game.

It doesn't mean you botted it though. You could be working with 3 or 4 other people.

We all overestimate Jagex when we talk about botting detections. They need to be completeluy sure before they ban an account.

No, this implies that the time botted is directly proportional to the ban rate. It's not exponentially proportional, as the 24/7 "suicide" argument suggests.

I have dozens of accounts that botted for virtually a week straight or more with no ban.

I strongly believe that it has a lot to do with public scripts. Jagex can study public scripts and find patterns in its actions, even if there is high randomization. They find a public script that's being used by many, study the script to find a fingerprint for it, and then let a few weeks go by and then mass ban anyone who's actions matched this bot fingerprint.

This is from experience, as I've gotten banned by using public scripts. The scripts that i coded for private use rarely had complex anti-ban features if any, and I'm yet to be banned for using my own script. Even when i alched for over 72 hours straight.

Code your own scripts.

Leaving the bot running 24/7 is fine if you use breaks, as long as you keep an eye out for updates.

Everytime runescape updates, you have to refresh your browser before you can login, your bot will not do so, therefore, it will just spam the login page. This, in turn, will increase your ban rate by a lot, although, sometimes jagex doesn't notice.

Bannable offence by all means. Jagex states that "Buying, selling or sharing an account" is a bad crime.

I'm sorry, we had a misunderstanding. I was stating that it was in fact directly proportionate.

This would really put wind into RIDs' sails, as they claim that each bot they sell is slightly different. Although, take superheating. What difference is there between a human and a bot clicking the ore? Supposing you have a good bot which randomizes the path between clicks, includes overshooting/missing/doubling back on the target...

Most good bots shut down after update.
However, you suggest that each time someone tries to log in, Jagex records that.
This would imply a sizeable server infrastructure just for recording this, taking into account the thousands of logins every hour.
In esssence, you admit that they record your game activity. But then your theory about 24/7ing doesn't hold water - playing 24/7 is by all means, impossible, while respecting all Jagex rules.

The worst punishment you can get for account sharing is either a mute (for mentioning it ingame) or a lock if the sharing happens on two IPs (which is appealable by the original owner, and then you can go back on your way to sharing). The reason for this is there is no other proof that there is sharing.

Real Talk [Botting Question]
I feel like breaks= bans :P
ive botted 99 str on one account and 99 def on a different account no bans :>

Real Talk [Botting Question]
I'm having the same question and after reading the posts, i'm still not sure.

Real Talk [Botting Question]
I suicide bot everything, manged to get 99 wc on my suicide wcer, Then got banned like 3 weeks after getting 99, Havn't been banned of any of my ess miners, Got banned of my suicide soul wars though. It's all a matter of chance, If you don't get your acc flagged(Reported) then you'll be safe.

Real Talk [Botting Question]
botting 24/7 or 10 hours a day is really no different.
