Donation rank

At the moment if i donate i believe the rank is very fast in being added to your sythe account

however i think there should be a time period you must spend on sythe before that rank is shown, so if you donate 5 dollars..?

you should have to wait 5 days if you have less than a 30 day threshold of activity on sythe.

I have noticed that there is a lot of scammers who donate and manage to clear a lot more value then their donation rank, just by using DONOR + on their threads.

is it not possible to have some threshold to prevent this from happening?

 

Most of the premise behind your thread deals with people placing trust with donation amount. That shouldn't be the case and there are warnings out there to not use donations amounts as a signal for trust.

 

This isn't going to happen. If you decide to do business with a brand new donor that's your choice.

 

I like the general Idea of trying to remove the stigma of a "donation rank" as a sign of "trust", however this is a free market, and donating to the site does not signify any trust. With that being said, this is just common sense really, and if you're not reading the stickies and trading safely in general, then you are going to rekt regardless.

Well for me a newcomer with 5$ donor is still a newcomer lol 5$ is not much and you cant buy trust...
