Whats his combat? I don't think you should have gotten the attack and strength, but that's just me. I'm one of those people where the only thing you should have is:

Attack and strength nothing else
Range and nothing else
Mage and nothing else
Range and mage and nothing else
Attack strength and mage and nothing else (sometimes)
