why use Screensnapr why not upload it on Photobucket?

 

add more texture, lighting, depth and colour to your smudge vert

read tutorials, practice smudging on hard brush around 70% strength with a very small bit of scatter and opacity scatter on brush settings.

smudging is all in the gesture of your wrist

try to imagine a light source and think where the shadows and highlight would be in real life.

Photoshop is used in all of them

 

Getting a tablet just for smudging is silly and a waste of money.

 

Look great altough i dont understand how photoshop work etc. So i cant say anything helpful.

 

I'm getting it for other things as well, ofc. Just mainly for smudging/other graphic uses.

 

I like the lighting in the smudge piece, I think you should attempt to incorporate the same style into a full blown stock tag.

 

Try adding some sharpness to the first textures pieces, it would bring out the guy very nicely i think.
