Should be put into the rules that a tie = automatic reroll.

Its something that's unofficially held by the people that dice and it should be put in the rules to avoid future miscommunications/scam attempts

 

I've never heard of this being a problem? I mean someone can't claim a win if there is a tie... I think thats straight forward. I suppose this could be added in if others think that this could cause confusion

 

Once you roll, you pretty much acknowledge that there is no going back, and continuation should be necessary to declare a winner if a tie were to happen. This should at least be the default ruling.

What? Why?
If somebody bets, goes into a tie and thinks to himself fuck this I don't want to loose my cash and drops out while he's even, how is that a scam, or in any way not the right thing to do in the dicing world?

 

It's definitely not a scam unless both parties agreed to re-rolling on ties which isn't commonly shown in the dice thread.

A tie usually results in either a refund or a re-roll, although automatic re-rolling is the more preferred staple so people won't back out in duels.

Unless there is an issue that arises in the middle of a duel that involves the compromise of ones pot, there shouldn't be any backing out. If you aren't prepared to lose, you shouldn't be gambling in the first place.

Okay let's say me and you roll a tie

Then I post my re roll because I assume that's what we're doing and you post "I'm going to walk while I'm even" literally seconds after mine without reading my post. This looks like an attempted scam because if you were to see that I rolled high and then posted that you could get away with scamming potentially.

 

Then that would be your fault for assuming.

If we don't add this as a rule then we should put that people should clarify in their original bet what happens in case of a tie

 

I can add a rule stating that in the event of a tie, nobody wins and the dice bet ends there. Anyone who wants to reroll can easily just talk with the other player, post the bet again, and roll.

Ties should NOT be an instant reroll, but should be discussed in the thread, or on skype/pm before proceeding.
