Why would people want no meaning 3 letter names?

For example, Kap is a pretty common Dutch word.
Translated to English it could mean the following:
hood
cap
shade
roof
bonnet
lampshade
wimple
head
cape
valance
coif
cap fitting
riding hood
nab

Most common translation would be cap/hood/coif

For some people the 3 letter names will have no meanings, but to others it could mean a lot. Like a shortcut for their names (Tom Rob Jacob would be TRJ, could be a nice name for someone) or for their hobby (ICT, Professional Video Editing as PVE)..

GL selling.
