To become a famous rapper all you have to do is rap about how you're in debt with the local loan shark >.>

 

Rapers are not even musician. They take a beat program and click random then add some crap text. Rock OWN Crap.

 

They do put a lot of work into the lyrics.

 

His IMAGE was a skater. I'm not saying all rappers have the same image, i'm saying when you see kids who like rap its not because they appreciate the music, it's because they like the beat but for the most part like the fact that they're cool because they like something that's cool and ganster, or in that guys case, "skater." ... Actually to be more accurate kids like what other kids like. I've never met anyone who you would ask "why do you like rap?" and they would say "because it's a thought-provoking music genre with a meaning behind it and deep lyrics." Honestly, in real life, have you ever met anyone who said that?

 

i must say i can understand death metal just gets time to get used to sometimes and the words have so much more meening than rap its not all about money sex and drugs sure u guys may love those things but death metals more about life hate death betrayel shit like that idk i cant stand the beets to it i like eminem cuz he speeks the truth nigga

 

Dude what about R&b? lol...well i'd say like to say 50/50 both....but since i listen to r&b along with rs that relates much more to hip hop/ rap so i;d have too say rap =]

Rap. Not gonna go on about it, I prefer it. I don't really understand how you can listen to "Mockingbird" by Eminem, or "Changes" by Tupac and not enjoy it, or at least not hate it.

??? I backed up my claim, I don't know why you're telling me this. Of course you typically have to have some sense of rapping ability, but there are millions of people who are much better than a lot of famous rappers, yet they don't get noticed. This is because becoming famous is hard, and you have to know people; strings have to be pulled for you.

 

that is 100% not true.. if u hear the stories of NWA, 50 Cent, Eminem you wouldnt have said that ridiculous comment...

NWA sold their music on the streets.. on the Death Row documentary, they tell about it. he says something like "how did u get ur music out on the streets?" and dre replies, "with guns".. does that sound like someone was pulling strings for them?

Eminem tells how he kept hearing 50's stuff, he ''kept his ear to the streets''. he kept hearing 50's stuff because 50 was promoting it and people started spreading his stuff on to others, etc.. all they did was promote their own stuff to get recognised. NWA did extreme shit to get recognised. The only reason that artists like 50, eminem and NWA got recognised and became famous was because they put in more of an effort than other rappers do, they want it more.

the best rapper alive could not be known, you're right. he could be just rhyming for fun on the corner, but he has to DO something to get famous. it isnt easy dude.

i actually listen to both equally and the answer is depended on the artist.. if you compare lil wayne and linkin park id be tied.. but overall rock

I don't really mind some rap music, but my vote goes to Rock. I definately listen to Rock more than any other genre of music.

But, it really depends what type of mood you're in.
Rap's good for just listening and to vibe. While rock gets you pumped and energetic!
Personally, I'm with rock on this one.
