If you like fast tempo, check out Cynic's evolutionary sleeper, its done at 280(ish) BPM (+/- 10 BPM).

Even I have difficulty counting that fast. At least they break down into half time and do some amazing solo. Makes me drool at its epic sound.

Rock for me.

Mainly because I play guitar, and I can get more of an influence from rock. Besides, I just like my metal.. !,,!

 

I like listening to metal to get me "pumped up". My favorite band is Lamb of God.

 

Exactly! Dude, Metal is awesome. Rap pumps you up too but I don't like rap and Metal pumps you up more. I'm talking about moshpits, head banging, head spinning, and all that good stuff. Rock is good too but I only like some Rock, other than that I'm staying on Rock's side.

Also Rap beats are made by drums and computer. It's kind of cheap. Rock and Metal takes talent and the beats are still awesome. The only computer music I like is Techno.

Just cos im nice, Rock ownz Rap, It is simple as that. Rock (also metal) can be a source to get rid of your anger or start anger, depends wat mood your in and Rock defiantly gets you more pumped than rap. Plus!, Rap has gone shit from the real rap they had, MC Hammer was one of the Godz and now rap has changed into to this bullshit we have today and slowly people are all turning to another form of music.

Rap used to be good, before it became popular and every person who can put together a couple rhymes called themselves a rapper. Back when it was a way for people to let out their anger and frustration. Artists and groups like Tupac and NWA used rap as a medium to express themselves, much the same as many musicians used rock as a way to do that very same thing. People need to just listen to whatever they want and let everyone else do the same. Don't judge a person for trying to express themselves through music, no matter what type of music it is

Actually you're kinda right! Rap gets you pumped, but in rock there is so much more trueht, then in rap. Rap they are just trying to sell you there records, in rock there are trying to bring over a message!
