Range Tank?

Alright so I'm looking to make a range tank, currently I'm looking at 90 Defence, 90 HP, 95 Range and Mage. Although I don't know if it would be better to get rigour or soul split for it's healing potential? What would be the better option?

 

Rigour all day.. dead mau5 I was also curious in making one of these accounts seemed fun! but you can't pass up the best range prayer along with a great defence bonus! Post a proggy ?

 

Curses are terrible for range pking, so is 90 defence. Don't get past 70-75, eventually 80 if you're actually planning on using pernix.

 

I personally think that the defence would help a lot, and it is a "Tank". I've seen builds like these wipe the floor with turmoil pures.

 

I've got a tank with 75 defence/ 92 prayer. It's decent but I normally get wrecked against zerkers. I'd recommend getting rigour and 90+ defence.

 

lol. i just made my tank a month ago started with 500k i transfered to c how far i could go. i botted it fully , now im 75def (keeping it it ownz) 99mage 88hp 600k till 99range and 52 pray.

im telling u it ownz veng+msb/cannon i got now round 830m bank from only pking.

 

Alright, looks like I'm taking the rigour route for sure. Although now I just gotta figure out the defence. It seems that 90+ defence would be a big help but at the cost of some combat levels. It just seems to me that 70 defence will be ripped through too easily.

 

If you have decent armor that won't be the case. Also, low defense is actually beneficial since it makes venge combos easier.

Alright, I guess I'll try out 75 defence and see how it goes.

 

curses are better for bridding in my opinion and against other tanks, but if edge pking and you aren't using ss, rigour.

 

My range tank is 99 range, 99 mage, 75 def, 85 hp, 44 prayer, 1 summoning. It kicks ass in duel arena. I need to work on getting 75 attack and strength so that I can get 99 def faster. I also need veng and hand cannon so I can pk. Once I'm maxed at 99 range, 99 mage, 99 def, 99 hp, 75 attack and strength, then I will eventually go for 95-99 prayer. Range tanks are already really good without soul split, so I would just wait.

 

you guys are really making me want a range tank
