Range Tank Staking?

Hey, I may make a Range Tank for staking..
I'm not sure what I should make the stats, exactly though..

Also, what should I stake with?
Disks / Rune knives / no Spec, etc?

Keep prayer 1 obviously. I'd start it off as a range pure if possible, get 50 range and high hp (the higher the better). Try to stake with ring on and use recoils, they're a huge advantage. If you're just 50 range, then get first hit with msb, spec next hit, then switch to rune knifes/zammy book. Reason to not spec first hit with msb is because you can't get first hit with an msb spec unless your opponent is super slow (it used to be this way, maybe it's changed).

I can't give much advice on tanks because I've never used one, I remember ones wearing full granite though (I assume they were 50 defence) and using obby rings.

 

Yeah you want to start out as a ranged pure and then at about 70 ranged start working defence up there, you do want to stay 1 prayer but I sugest using no spec have dfs/rune c'b with diamond bolts (e) use the dfs charge to hit them from 30 paces away and start using the rune c'b and pull out dark bow for spec. or you can just stick with the rune c'b

 

stake 1 handed and use rune knives or a rune cross with onyx bolts.

 

50 defence 50-70 range worked good in the past, Not alot has changed around the low combat aspect of weapons/armour other then the pvp dropped ones, Range tank staking with spec on is good due to the use of excalibur spec raising your defence just turn arrows off.

 

Honestly. I would just range stake with no armour on, so don't bother with def.
But that's just me, all I do is mage box.
