Range Tank HELP plz

Hey I have recently started a raneg tank account and was wondering if anyone knows of any good guides that are out there for range tanks. I'm looking for information on
- Where to train def/hp
- What Quests I need to do [excluding ancients/lunars]
- Should I get Barrows Gloves?????
- Whats the best shield DFS/Arcane Or Spectral? [No Ely/Div]

If any can answer these questions or put me onto a guide somewhere would much appreciate it

Personally, I like DFS for range tanking.

 

dont worry about quests so much, there is a lot more liberty since you don't need to worry about quest rewards etc.

Just do lunar/dream mentor and lunar to get all spells and barrows gloves are +1 better than black d hide vambraces, not to mention also having a good mage bonus

also, get 75 attack for sol

I would personally stay either 44 or 52 pray, I would stay away from spirit shields as you will need more prayer/combat levels. A maxed tank with 44 pray would be 14 combat

 

Hmm I would get 75 Attack but I'm 77str because the acc was originally going to be a zerker,
Does the extra 2 str lvls matter??

-DFS... Arcane is only good for main hybridding and spectral shouldn't even be used in the wilderness.
