Radar Detector Recommendations

Hello everyone,

I am looking to hear some anecdotes/recommendations for radar detectors. I have done some research on youtube and have heard very good things about Uniden R series. I am leaning towards an R3 or R4. Does anyone use one? A different brand? Let me know what you like or dont like.

 

I use Escort Redline 360c. Very expensive but you get what you pay for, never failed me once.
I live in an area with alot of mountains and alot of windy roads and it works great

 

Just checked them out. That looks like some heavy duty stuff. Do you have the service plan? Is it possible to update it without it? I would imagine not. This is probably more detector than I need as i dont speed too much... I was really just looking for something for an added piece of mind. But thank you for the recommendation regardless.
