Racism,What do you think?

I have always beleived that you shouldn't treat people differently because of the colour of their skin or where they were born it makes no difference. It's what they do that they should be judged on.

 

Damn it i thought we ended this crap back in 1862 with Abraham's Emancipation Proclamation.

I'm going to have to agree with "Try and run" .

 

In Australia there is a significant amount of racism towards the native aborigines, they aren't accounted for by the government much, and their communities are under-funded. They are not taught that drugs and achohol are dangerous, and so they take it and that causes stereotyping. I admit that I personally am cautious in a neighborhood simply because of the above reasons, but I am not openly racist or anything like that.

 

What I honestly think is that the OP or actually no one here knows what they're talking about.

 

To be entirely honest, I think the "African American", "Aboriginal peoples" etc. political correctness conservative style culture is ridiculous. In my opinion, I should be allowed to call someone with a darker pigment in their skin something that describes them, a nickname if you like. Society that forbid these terms are the ones that made the terms have the negative connotations that they have today.

I also believe that yes, some races are inferior. for example, the Aboriginal tribes in the late 18th/early 19th century were clearly inferior to the Britons as they were run over for the land they claim was theirs. The fact that they still think the land is rightfully theirs two hundred years later is ludicrous. Civilization goes on, to be honest nobody but intellectual types really care all that much, and not much is going to change anyway. They are inferior in the sense that life expectancy is in the low forties, they are inferior in the intellectual sense, they are inferior in that even if they tried they could not reclaim their land by force. This is all subjective remember, and very general.

What I do not believe in however is hate crimes in the true sense on the word, not that a white man and a black man got in a fight because one ran into the other with their car. Physical abuse on "different" looking people just because of their race isn't right.

Also, i asked a few people Cant say names, Not from this site, irl freinds... whats the first thing that comes up in your head when i say racism , they all replied black asian, i asked why does it?, they replied, its what you hear from the most.

Is this true?

 

Everyone should be equal.

Nothing wrong with racist jokes as long as the races involved aren't around at the time though
