Racism, is it getting worse??

Racism is a key problem in our world today and has been since the existance of two people, it causes wars and violence everywhere and makes us on as low moral ground as the rest of the creatures.

Many think that racism is getting less common but i think otherwise, It's getting worse and worse more direct not even about color anymore but about culture ,religion and country.

Its gone to far and the government isn't doing enough to stop it and they are even making it worse with the WAR ON TERROR *cough*.

This was a massive turning point in the freedom of african American.

Do you think racism has gone to far or is it just another small problem. that no one cares about??

I dont think that is actually becoming much worse than it originally was.

Rather the fact that AWARENESS issures have increased and it has become more known about racism and the like.

In the days preceeding ours, racism was ever present especially with black slaves and social segregation, large forms of racism covered every nation. Racism has always been here and despite efforts still remains.

Rather then become worse, it has changed and people have become more aware of it.

yeah i agree its getting worse but its not only the whites. Every race has its stereotypes and everybody gets discriminated against in their life. Its everybody being racist not just the whites.

To all who think racism is whites beating on anyone else... When the government decided enough was enough, they got rid of all the separation laws between races. The government and laws changed, but opinions didn't want to budge. Now with people they think that whenever a black man gets shot by someone white, 'HATE CRIME!!!!!!!' but it might not be that. It could be the former slandered about the latter. But...

When a black man/woman decides to kill a white person, they call it REVERSE DISCRIMINATION. I think that's bullshit. People are people, and they think that the only discrimination was just against the black people by the whites. Now about the war on terror...

People have been led to believe that all Iraqi/Afghani/Muslims or people from those parts of the world are terrorists. Some are. Alexandre Trudeau went to Baghdad to see what it would be like for an average family during the war. The real terrorist: George Bush and his war on 'Terrah'

i didn't really get that but ok racism isn't really getting to be another key problem it gets solved evantaully in many situations just because you don't like there skin tone doensn't mean there not like you but they act like thats not whats happening

for instance if i took someone black from the "hood" and a rich white person from the "Nieghborhood" and put them in a room for 24 hours they would evantaully get into a fight like cats and dogs they will find a reason to fight
even if there the same life style

rich black man rich white man they will find a reason to fight even though they live the same way

so basically racism is a fight for has a better lifestyle not skin tone anyone who says otherwise proof it.

Slavery to some degree has ended in the world, this is certain. However, due to the high tension; related issues on slavery, the government is enforcing various laws effecting the whole community. These laws restrict the public in general, what can be said is that in some cases the government is believed to be focusing on unbiased law. In actuality, on some ground it is restricting an entire community in which the infractions were not based on a single race to begin with. At least, in the united states.

...Which leads me to believe are the laws enforced in my country and possibly in others helping racial tension and anti-racism, or is it the other way around?

However, the chances of racism dying out are extremely slim. With every new generation, children try to be ''cool,'' The majority of old people still alive, usually grand parents of children do actually have alot of racial influence over their grandchildren, as they were alive in WW2, and have theories of who are good, who are bad, what is wrong, and what is right, racially. This means they have alot of power to accidentally indoctranate children into racist thinking and sometimes acting.
