February, 1939 - May 20, 2013 The Doors (and by extension music itself) would not have been the same without Ray Manzarek. When you listen to his interviews with The Doors, it really brings into perspective how uncommon it is for artists today to talk about their philosophies on life and music. As much of a loss as this is for the music world, it's comforting to know that he's finally at rest.
R.I.P. He was a magician on keyboards and an overall good musician. Music today lacks skilled musicians like him, I like to see people actually playing real instruments instead of messing around on their laptops onstage.
