Quick help on vouches?

Ok, well I am planning on getting 100+ vouches before going for OMM, and im currently sitting on like 34... And I was wondering, can people vouch me because they know and trust me, and like me, and they think im trusted and stuff? Because I see quite a lot of vouches saying "Vouch, 100% trusted" and stuff like that, and they get vouches even though they arent doing an MM. Can I only get vouches for doing the service, or can I also get them from being trustworthy, and people knowing it?

 

Well, people vouch me cause they deem me trustworthy. Your just not allowed to make someone lie and say you MMed a trade for them.

 

is this against sythes rules? asking for a vouch for nothing?

 

Not what I said, I said if they say like "Trusted, He is legit" because they deem me trusted also, can they just put that? Mrs. Verts said its a no no in IRC..

 

Their are differences.

These are not vouches for your MM app.

But I have seen staff do it, look at their applications.
I think it is fine.

If you have a good friend on sythe and you trust him, you can post you trust him.

The vouches you're talking about are "acceptable" if you want to just put them on the mm application, but as for vouches regarding services, they are not the same. I believe you were going for 100+ service vouches, as that will look better too. Good luck on your application. PM me with any other questions.

There is a small section on Nathan''s profile on how to add them to your profile. You can read it here. To put it in your sig, simply quote it via the "quote" button on the bottom right hand side of the page, copy/paste the code into your signature by going to User CP and going to the "Edit Signature" tab. Save it and you're done.

 

Are you aloud to ask for vouches just because people know you?

 

Asking for Vouches is not allowed, but a User may Vouch you if in their mind it seems necessary. The only exception, is if you have performed or given a service to another User, in which you may ask them if they feel it right to Vouch you for said service.
Ex. MiddleMan, Xfer Service

In my opinion, vouches are useless, because they are used the wrong way anyways.
Ex. MrGoosey

My advice is to not worry about them, as they will come along as you help out in the community.

 

But... As python said above, Mods/Admins do it if they Deem you trustworthy... In the vouch you cannot say...
"Vouch for mming a "x" amount trade"
if they didnt, thats fake.
But saying "Vouch...ect.." or "vouch, Very trustworthy, Nice person...ect.." is fine... but u cannot mention you did a trade with them if you have not.

If someone Trusted you with something of yours, they have the right to vouch you. People should only vouch when they have trusted you with something.
